My parents in AZ received a call on their land line from this number by a person claiming to be their grandson who was in jail. IT IS A SCAM!!!

I just got a call from 410 591 8091.  I asked who he was...he said my grandson. I asked which one....he said my oldest. Josh? Yes Josh and he said he was in Baltimore. I said Josh is NOT in Baltimore...and then he hung up. That's when I looked this number up.

They started the phone call by saying this is your nephew.  If it was one of my nephews they would have addressed me personally and stated who they were.  They got tired of the lines that I was feeding them (oh, are you the one in jail?)  They hung up.

I just received a call from a woman who said she was my granddaughter. She said "What's the matter?  You don't recognize my voice?"   I said, no, and I hung up.  I don't have a granddaughter! Hasn't called back.

5-16 11:06AM   Just got a call from 410 591 8091 saying it was my grandson who needs $1000 for bail. He was in an auto accident and is in jail. I asked what was his wife's name and he hung up. He had his first name correct  but he mispronounced  the last name. What a scam

Scam - pretending to be grandson

My grandfather just recieved a call from someone claiming to be his granddaughter needing financial help. Except I am his only grandchild and was happy to take the phone and tell the scammer off.

I have received 3 calls from this number stating he is my grandson.  I played along the first time knowing it was a prank and he got tired of my questions and told me "to stop wasting his time" and he hung up on me.  The last 2 times I told him off and told him to remove my number from his calling list.

Just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. If it was important the person will leave a message. PLEASE just don't answer calls from Strangers, in this day and age. These scams get more sophisticated and you can't be victimized if you avoid them.

Spammer pretending to be your grandchild. "Hi grandma I am in jail and need $1000 for bail"
Hang up and tell them you have no grandchildren or nephews ( they might pretend they are your niece or nephew)

May 19th, 2017 1:51 PM EST. Knew the area code was from nowhere near here. Didn't pick up. Caller didn't leave a message. Anyone calling from out of state on a wireless phone would have to have a good reason for calling, and would have at least left a message. So I googled the number and found this page.

Same number calls several times a day - we don't answer.  Sometimes a voice says "goodbye" and hangs up.
