I answered the number, and no one there. ID states: non working state

They called, and I couldn't get to my phone in time.  They then called immediately afterwords, but I didn't recognize the number, so was going to let it go to voicemail (I'm in Kansas City, MO, and do not know anyone in Maryland).  They didn't leave a message.  I tried researching the number, but all I can find out is its a landline.  I called it back, and as stated before, its a "non-working number"????

I had received these calls for about a month, on and off. Finally I caught the call and was able to speak to someone from the Maryland Comptrollers office. It was about past due filings for Employee Withholding and Sales and Use Taxes from an old corporation. The lady was nice enough to close those old accounts for me.

I picked up and got disconnected.  I call the "410-767-3000", it says this is the State of Maryland and this is non working number.   What a B.S

Someone from this number called me at work, but I was away from my desk.  Googled the number and got this feedback.  I called 410-767-4679 and got someone, but I must have caught them by surprise because they answered with "Hello."  We went back on forth with the greetings until I asked if this was the State of Maryland.  The person said yes and asked for my name.  I didn't give her my name, instead I gave her the number I was calling from and she said she had no idea and hung up on me.

It's the department of budget and management for md. They calling for my sister but she hasn't lived here for years.

Constant calls, no one responds. Who is this?

It is a number used by the state of Maryland. It could be a social worker, my call was a social worker calling to talk to my husband about getting his daughter from Chile Protective Services. The only way to reach whomever is trying to get a hold of you from this number is to answer the call or hope they leave a different number for you to call them back. We were given a 410-425 number to call if we needed to get a hold of them.

Got a miss call from 4107673000 and tried to call it back no answer. All it kept saying was state of Maryland and it hung up.

They said  there are payments due and if not taken care it will become deliquent

This IS NOT from telemarketer or debt collectors.
It is an OUTGOING ONLY phone exchange from the State of Maryland.

In other words, if you've made a call to ANY Maryland state agency, ON AN "800"phone #, (or 866,877, etc), and that agency has to call you back.that person at the state of Maryland's call will be routed through this phone number's exchange and show up on your caller I'd as 14107673000.

So, if you know that you've recently made a call to Maryland govt, and you need to talk to them, its OK to answer.

If you don't want to talk to " Maryland",  well , if you've read to here , you probably know what to do next.
