Answered once after a 4th attempt from this number. The caller asked if my number was a cell phone and after telling him it was, he thanked me and hung up.

This number calls me everyday, 3-4 times a day and usually they leave a message.  The caller says it's the Maryland Dept of Health and Mental Hygeine and they are calling to do an "very important survey."  They leave their number for a callback.  This is really getting annoying because they are calling my business.

Keep getting calls from this number - we don't answer and they don't leave a message. Pretty stupid for them to keep calling.

These people call three to four times a day, often after seven PM.  They don't leave a msg and normally if I answer, they hang up.  The CID says they are the MD St Gov and one time they speak when I answered the phone.  They said they were calling about a health survey.  I asked that they no longer call, the guy hung up, but they continue to call.

I am receiving calls from them lately on my skype account. They say they are the MD health department. But I get the feeling that they are liars. Maybe I am just paranoid. But when I asked them to stop calling, they asked for my name. Why would they need my name to stop calling? Something is fishy.

These morons have been calling my house for weeks, although I never answer the phone (as tempting as it is). I finally Googled the number to figure out who they are. It's just as I thought... a bunch of morons wasting my less than adequate free time. I'll let them keep calling since my taxes are already wasted in so many other ways, and since I never answer my home phone in the first place, and only have the robotic response Verizon provides on the voicemail. That'll teach them to mess with me. Lol.

A couple of calls have come in in the last 2 months, usually in the evening, well after business hours. Each time the caller ID displayed "MD State Gov't.", but no message is ever left (we don't answer it).

Same as most of the others here.  Maryland Department of Health calls and doesn't leave a message.  When I do answer the caller identifies themselves a being with Maryland Department of Health and they want me to take a survey.  I give them my standard line "please take my number off you calling line and don't call me anymore" (they are supposed to comply by law).  Caller tries to rebuttal by saying "but sir this is a very import survey.  I repeat "take my number off you calling line and don't call me anymore" and the caller thanks me and hangs up.

They say health dept and dr has reported someone in your household to have recently tested positive for std.  WTF

Received call from this number.  CID  MD STATE GOV.   Don't answer.  No message left.

I get these calls just about every day. I've answered a couple times, but then the other party hangs up. Mostly I just ignore the calls, but they're really irritating! The caller ID says "MD St Govt" but I can't believe any governmental agency would call on weekends.

Today I got the second (and I hope) last of a fax attempt from this number. All I get is the fax log page that says "No Fax". This is so annoying. Plus, I get  so many hang up calls.

Yeah I got a call from them for the first time today. If you really want to stop them from calling you need to call the governor's office for the state of Maryland. When it hits that level they will do something about it. Done it for many other situations involving the state other than getting calls.  Of course if you really want to fix them every time you fill out something of a survey over the Internet or your looking into signing up for possible new service that you really don't want just give them this number.  But also remember not to give your real name. LOL

This number has been calling our home phone 4+ times a day for several weeks.  They leave messages on the voice mail. When I answer, they say they are with the MD Department of Health & Mental Hygiene and they want to do a very important survey.  I've told them to stop calling my number twice.  Once should have been sufficient MD State Government!!

I get calls from this number multiple times every day.  My caller ID says MD State Gov.  We never even answer our phone anymore.  This needs to stop!  Whoever it is never leaves a message on the answering machine.

My brother received a message this p.M. (saturday night).  The message said:

this is the state of maryland and your number has been randomly selected for to discuss an important medical survey. At this time my brother answered the phone and asked if this was a live person to which she responded "yes" and my brother asked if she could prove it,  we laughed so hard that the woman hung up.  A great night's entertainment for everyone.

People do not give any info. To this caller - it is some type of scam

ID says MD ST GOVT.  Obviously it's not a government agency.  It's a scammer trying to get personal information.  First they verify that your phone number is a working number so that they can sell it to other telemarketers.  So don't pick up.  I'm still wondering why the MD  Attorney General isn't investigating this and getting them to stop.
