I called them and they did not want to talk about why they called me earlier. I hung up.

Repeated calls beginning in the early morning.  Debt Collector.

They wake me up every morning for a week now, when up pick up the phone they just hang up.

412-282-1422 is a new number, apparently, for Portfolio Recovery. When doing a reverse search on the number it comes up as a mobile phone. They keep calling, from different numbers, even after being told the person they are looking for does not live here.

They keep calling at all hours and on weekends..no idea who or why...the will not say.

Calls, leaves no message, no one there when you pick-up, no one there when you return the call.

This number calls me any time of the day and even weekens. i  answer and no one there going. i am getting tired of it

This debt collector uses multiple phone numbers and drive me nuts!  I have disputed the charges, which are $30 I think, and they still call and call and call.  this should be illegal and they should be fined

They are looking for someone who i have never heard of & will not stop calling!!

They called this morning and I answered.  They asked for me by name.  I told them I'm not that person, what do they want.  They would not tell me who they are and that it's business that they can only discuss with me.  If this is a debt collector, I don't know what debt as I've never been late on any payments.  What ever happened to the DNC?  Now that I see that it's Portfolio Recovery, they call every day at least once a day from different numbers.

reverse search says private number and says it is a landline. leaves no message.

I also get calls from Portfolio Recovery - a couple of times a week - and don't know where this debt came from as I've always paid my bills on time and have never received in late notices. The calls started 4 or 5 years ago but i'm not giving them a dime after reading about them online and other people's stories. I just don't answer anymore!

It is illegal to harass you and its under the Fair Debt Act.  Write them a cease and decease letter.  Make sure delivery signature and get a copy that someone signed for it.  If they continue to call you can file charges against them with your BBB.  A person in California I believe ended up suing these people and won a judgement of in the millions but could not collect.  These collection agency has pleny of office and they can close them down and quickly put up another.

These collection agency will not remove anyones name from their database since they paid for the accounts of a dollar or less the once that could not be collected and will try and try.  Just ignore them.  Disconnect your land line number since we all use our cell phone.  The cell phone has application that can block this type of number.
