I got a call from this number when someone was in AGH but they left no message.

Called me, I picked up, no one there. I called the number back and it said "Hello you have reached Allegheny General Hospital. This number is the caller id we put on all outgoing calls. If you did not get a message from whoever called and you are only geting this number from caller id there is no way we can tell you who called you."

Received call from this number. When I asked, there was no one there.

I just received a call, it rang only once I picked up right away (being at work) and as soon as I answered the call ended. I never heard anything on their end. Me and my family have not been to AGH hospital recently, I have no reason to be in their system. This is odd.

If your doctor is in the west penn / allegheny network then they'll bill through agh.

If you're getting this on your caller ID, then don't just assume it is from billing, ANYONE who calls out of there, whether they're a patient or a friend of yours who works there, will have this number show on your caller ID, no matter what department they are calling out on.  When I call my daughter at home its on the caller ID.  This number confuses my mom all the time when she tries to call it back.  LOL, I tell her to remember my office number.  So don't just assume this is billing related.  Perhaps a friend or family member are calling you while visiting the Allegheny Health Network at AGH.

I got a call from this number to schedule an appointment ordered through my doctor.  It is a legit call.

apparently they had the wrong number, hence they immediately tried to disconnect before you anwered.

For me, this is an auto-call from the Allegheny Health Network to remind me of my appointments.

This is the outgoing number from anyone calling from Allegheny General Hospital. You can not return the call to this number.

This number called my cell at 5 in the morning and then hung up. This is not AGH like some suggest. Hospitals don't leave reminders when most people are asleep and if they did call they would likely leave a message.

THE # is what calls you for appt reminders and to set appointments with AHN, and also their 412-DOCTOR program...if you didn't call them or have an appt scheduled, they probably called you in error.

Got this call on a Saturday morning. There was  a person on the other end, but the connection was crappy. She asked "Is this Fred?" I asked "Who's calling?" She said "Sorry, I have the wrong number" and she hung up.

I understand that the purpose of HIPAA, but it goes to far. When my own doctor's office calls with test results, they always ask "Is this Fred?". I guess that identifying yourself as a medical office to someone other than the patient is a violation of HIPAA.

They call me all the time. I picked up once it was an automated message reminding someone (that isn't me!) about an appointment. Tried to call back to tell them they have the wrong number but automated message again saying AGH. I picked up this call a month ago. They called me 3 times yesterday and 3 times already today (it's only noon). Idk if I should block the number? They never leave a message but if it's AGH can they still contact me incase of an emergency? My dad is in poor health and I would hate to miss a call if he needed me.

Received a call from this #  on 6/18/2018. They left a voicemail stating that they were Allegheny Health Network confirming an appointment. They stated time and date, but no doctor was mentioned nor any callback # given. I was instructed to contact my "physician's office during business hours". An incomplete address of 317 1st Avenue was stated.
