Imagine, the owners of this website would organize a class action suit against these harassers! I wish I was a lawyer.

The caller is washington mutual collections dept.

Washington Mutual Bank in efforts to collect a debt in the State of California, although an original creditor, is in violation pursuant to State of California Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, to wit, Rosenthal Act under California Civil Code Section 1788 et seq., by making repeated unsolicited telephone calls, whereby causing the phone to ring repeatedly and not engaging in conversation with the recipient of the call.  I intend to file lawsuit against WAMU; perhaps a class action lawsuit would help WAMU realize that it needs to comply to existing laws nationwide.

well lets see i've received a call from : pennsylvania, wisconsin and minnesota..i think i'll keep a list of them.. wonder if i get a prize if i get all the states

They called me 3 times on mothers day

I got it a couple of times at home...and I have a biz-credit card with them.

I'm furious!  This number called me at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and when I picked up the phone and said "Hello", there was no response!

perhaps we should get all their phone numbers and make them ring off the hook!

Received a second call, also early on a Saturday morning. This compnay called yesterday from a New Jersey number. They claim there is a problem with a credit card that doesn't exist and want payment on a past due account.  After asking for a supervisor, they made a couple of transfers and then hung up.

Got a call at 8 AM from this number. Called it back and all I get is a busy signal.

I'm confused I don't even have an account with Washington Mutual.  I think it is definitely a hoax, they want you to enter your full credit card number and social security number.  I finally got a person on the phone and was told they would check my phone number against their call list.  I told them if I continue to get unsolicited calls from this number I will report them as I do not do business with Washington Mutual and they are violating Federal law by calling my home.

they called me at work my work number on a Sat-- and my co-worker answered. i dont owe any collections. They didnt want to leave a message,just said they would call back

This is Washington Mutual Collection Department. They called me three times on Monday, three times on Tuesday, twice on Thursday and Three time on Saturday..first time on Saturday 8:30 am..I have spoke to them once on Monday and once on Tuesday..I am refusing to answer the phone from them anymore. And like the others once you do answer no one speaks back for about 20 seconds. I belive its a computer that calls and then if you answer it goes to a rep. This is a little much.

I got a call and it is Washington Mutual at this # - HOWEVER.  I OWE THEM NOTHING MY CARDS ARE CURRENT - I HATE THAT.

I received a call from 412-595-9025, 623-476-0009 and from 703-269-0648 all during the same day and no voicemail were left.  Thanks to your input I know now not answer their call as I don't have time to deal with anyone from WAMU.

WaMu is amazing... they will call you every few hours - and each number comes up looking like it's coming from a different state.   I wonder how many numbers they have?  Or are the collectors calling from home-based call centers and we're talking to folks about our banking and they are still in their bunny slippers and jammies?

Yes, this is definitely a collections call from WaMu. Very annoying!!
