yep, CVS caremark- the number from which they call to confirm prescriptions of the pre-order variety. Your doctor may send a fax out in your name to them to request an implant or special med, FYI.

The message left on my voicemail stating it was CVS Pharmacy. I asked who and what medication they were speaking of, they wanted personal info first (HIPAA, you know...) but wait didn't you call me first? No physician has called in medication and this is not my pharmacy --- called the number they initially called from -- fast busy... scam..? Don't give out any personal info to them!

I work for CVS/Caremark. I have just had to verified that this is:

This is a known scam. We do not believe that any information originates at CVS. The callers are typically after credit card info or want the person to purchase a green dot card and communicate the number to them in order to collect sweepstakes winnings…(that we are not running)

Anyone can set up a website and proclaim to be anything. We have also heard of this scam involving Walgreens, RiteAid, etc as well

I use CVS Caremark for my mail order prescriptions and they do call with automated messages from time to time. HOWEVER - the legitimate calls come from a toll free number.  The automated message  was left by Rita the 'pharmacist' from their Pharmacy Advisory Team.

I see this as either one of two things - either it's a scam or CVS is soliciting.  Either way, I'm not buying nor calling the 1-866-624-1481 they left.

This is a legit number. It calls me every 3 months to verify that I still need my medication and then they send it to me. You CANNOT call this number back. You CAN call 1.800.238.7828 for assistance....

You are all dumb...This is the Pharmacy Advisor Team. An added benefit of your health plan. They are a team of pharmacists and technicians to help support you with your health and medicine. Of course they HIPAA authenticate you first duh...I wouldn't want them giving my info to the wrong person. They've never asked for my SS number. Just date of birth and address which anyone can google.

Once again CVS has no idea what they are talking about! I get a receipt every month in the mail from 'SDC' for my  CVS Caremark delivered prescription. So of course they are connected to CVS.

the msg left on my phone this morning from 412-825-8825 said, "Laurie this is not a sales call, this is about an order placed with our pharmacy" that right there made me know this is a scam. I do not nor have I had CVS Specialty pharmacy use in the past nor have I had a doctor rx anything for me without my knowledge. I do use a specialty pharmacy for some meds but CVS is not one of them. Had they left a msg saying that Dr. So and So called and prescribed for you and need to verify address, I would have called back. After searching the net, this number has a high scam call list and I would not call it back if you are using a smart phone-hackers are on the rise-beware! Call your local CVS and ask them to put you through to their specialty pharmacy if you use CVS or want to know this is a scam.

I received a call this morning stating they represented CVS Specialty Pharmacy which I do use. Before I realized what the phone number was, I was ordering  a shipment of Enbrel which I do use and gave them my credit card number as well. I then called my credit card company to make them aware that there is a scam coming from this phone number 412-825-8852. I also registered a complaint with the State of Florida Fraud Department. THIS IS A SCAM...PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM SCAM YOU TOO!!!!!!!!

I called cvs and left a message regarding a charge on my bill. This is the number that called me back.

Obviously this is a valid cvs number. If you are getting called about a prescription, it is probably a typo in someone else's phone number. They can't give you any info unless you verify you are that person.

    It is not a scam

This call is legit.  The robo call left a return, toll free number to call and it concerned a high priced injectable medication I am to receive.  When I returned the call, I was skeptical as they were asking me to verify my address and date of birth.  I told them I wouldn't give any info until they told me who the Dr was that ordered it.  They did and I gave them the info they needed to verify who I was.  It was the correct meds.  No scam, but always be cautious.
