A recorded message promises a free Bahamas cruise if I will answer questions in a "survey".  Undoubtedly a scam.

got a call from this number but when i called back it just rang once then i got like a busy tone

Free cruise if i answer questions. i answered 5 questions, then at the end of the call they said a person would call me in the next few days to give me the reservation confirmation on my cruise.

I am guessing the scam is that they have told a company (cruise seller) that they can give them a much more receptive group of people for their cruise sales pitch by limiting the number of people to those expecting a call from a travel agent. The cruise sales pitch then asks people for $49 for handling or some other expense.

Called my number but left no message.  Recently received unwanted text messages regarding free cruise offer, and probably related.  I hate it when I receive calls like this.  Trying to figure out who it was that called is always a pain.   Do not respond to these types of calls.  Some may be legit, but my guess is that it's probably scammers or Identity Thieves from India or some other foreign country using U.S. telephone numbers trying to get people's Social Security and/or Credit Card or Accounts information so as to be able to hack or rob or steal identities.  When they don't leave messages, I become very suspicious.  Beware!

Got a call from this number, answered and line went dead, then got disconnected. Ugh

They called my cell phone.  Caller left no message.  Adding to my "blocked" list on my phone.  

SPAM BEWARE ! !! !   There is not a free cruise at the end of the "sales pitch".
Don't answer, don't engage, Do not Press 1 to be removed..... don't call it back (if it even works) as any of those actions let's them know they got a valid number and they will share your number and increase the calls. Report to National Do Not Call Registry so they have a record of the number of calls this line made. They continue to change the "fake" caller ID to try and get people to pick up. They are criminals and cowards trying to trick people into giving credit card and personal information. It must work because they have been able to stay in business and ahead of prosecution for breaking the law for years.

SCAM as usual, and the Govmint won't do a thing about it!  

Just filed a Do Not Call Registry complaint and complained about the Government not doing their job.

But what else is new.

I did the same. Just got the call.

Answered and got someone offering a few cruise if I answered survey questions. Hung up as obviously a scam.

Had missed call from this # on my cell phone - I don't give out my cell #, and it was an out-of-state call. I only use my cell phone for emergencies.

No message left.  # says it's in Wisconsin and is a mobile #.

Called but did not leave a message.

Thank you all for the helpful information!  I just got the call on my cell phone and lleft no message. I will add to my block list now :)

"wireless caller" on the caller ID.  Ah, the cruise scammers again.  These scammers have thousands of numbers available to them, or are constantly spoofed.  They are in cahoots with the phone companies that provide them.   Until the phone companies and scammers pay for each robo call they make, (to us the ratepayers),  these calls will never stop.

I also got it on my cell phone, ID showed Wisconsin. I have AVG Privacy on my Android so I have blocked the number. And if they role to another number I will block it, and on and on and on....

I'm on the Federal Do Not Call list.  Just received an illegal call from this Wisconsin telemarketer.  They do not identify themselves, just pop right in with the "survey".  I'll file an online complaint with the FCC.  Wish everyone else would do the same.  I had good luck doing that against AT&T

The do not call list seems to be used by telemarketers to find "real" phone numbers. Reporting does no good.
