This is a suspected I,R,S, Phone scammer. said I would be arrested for back taxes over seven years. he is of Indian decent by accent; claiming to be "george" at the office of Investigator "Julie Smith".......Really??? "Smith" .....He could not make up a better alias than the generic "Smith"???

i got a call from this same phone number 415-234-9863, a voicemail saying that i needed to return the call before serious action was taken against me.  I called the number back and it was an Indian man with an accent claiming to be with the IRS but i told him i think this was a prank call and then he asked me where my husband was and asked if I was at work.  Then he said he wanted to meet with me as he claimed to be a friend from college.  I then hung up.  How do we stop this from happening?  I am very upset.

We had a same issue. Someone called Saturday morning and hararssing us about the IRS. Then my husband called back to them they says they are in India in Mumbai. Its prank. They are fraud. We are trying to put them behind the bars.

Women left message from 415-234-9863 stating an urgent response to the IRS before legal actions would be taken. lloke dup the number online and found that it is an IRS SCAM as suspected.

I called him out on being a scam!! He got mad & told me to suck his d***! Can you believe them?? For my revenge I will block my # and call them everyday to see how they like it!!!!!

this supposedly IRS keeps calling from this number, saying if I don't return the call, they will take actions. i returned the call, and got their voicemail. I suspect it is a scam but I wish I could report it to the police for harrassment.  

Yup, same message.  Still working the phones.  This time it was a woman person with a vaguely Slavic accent.  Alarmed my wife, but fortunately she waited for me to come home.  i told her the IRS never calls.  (Look it up on thier website.)

I received a call from this number. A man with a Hindu accent threatened to take action against me. When I called back he sounded angry and was asking my age, then he started calling me a liar. This was a really weird call. If they call back, I'm blocking the number.

I got a call from this number claiming that I owe 5,000 in taxes from the past 7 years. He had an Indian accent. Read mostly from a script. He also couldn't pronounce "Kyle". He said my officer in charge of my case's name was Michelle something. He never used the word audit. He just said I owed this money or could face prison blah blah blah... Also, when I asked him specfic questions he would answer them with the name of the officer name. Didnt make sense..

"what do I need to do when I call the officer?"

I received a call from 415-234-9863....a woman ( last name Smith) saying that she was an "officer" with the IRS.....REALLY????  First of all, if the IRS was coming after me, they would send a certified letter, not call me.  I am a widow and I really don't have the time or the patience to put up with [***] like this....too bad these idiots are getting away with this scam!!!!

yes I got same IRS scam call today, 1-16-2015. "Julie Smith".
I called back, somebody else answered, blah blah blah, said I owe $59xx.xx, and can pay it off right away by calling
415-506-1293 "Michelle Brown", she got mad at me when I ask her about my case, saying that people call that number to pay what they owe.

got a call from this number 415-234-9863 said they were an IRS hotline. Called the number back and the person who,answered said it was a personal residence.

Received the same call twice in one day. Been trying to call IRS before I contacted them back. No luck. Decieded to enter phone number and got this info. Exact words and person's name.

Claimed they were sending me information because of a delinquency in the taxes from the last 7 years and that they would come take everything that is in my name and I could go to jail for  two years. When I asked how my last name was spelled, because they said it wrong, they hung up. Called back and got the voicemail. Seems real fishy. Today's date:1/23/2015

I got a message saying that it was the IRS. Its a scam of course be careful everyone.The # is 415-234-9863

left me a message stating I need to call back or legal action will be taken.  I didn't bother calling them back. came from San Francisco

They have been calling me every day for two weeks. Today they called me three times! How do I get them to stop calling me? It's quite annoying!
