Called twice to our home phone claiming to be attorney David Green, with IRS in the "Litigation Dept." Said there is a discrepancy on my tax return and threatened legal action if I do not respond. Also said, "Do not ignore this call."

Got a call on my cell phone from someone who barely could speak English.  Claimed he was from the irs.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and he hung up.  

This guy called me too. I said I will conference call you with 911. He hung up .. haha

IRS scam.  Caller with heavy accent claiming to be with the IRS.  Said he needed my attorney's phone number.  

Called my home number instead of my office number.  Asked twice for my husband by name, even though I'm the treasurer and IRS contact for our company.  I think I'll find a number for the FBI Fraud Department and hope this goober calls back again...

This female caller with a heavy accent said she was from the IRS and I was in Tax trouble.  I looked up this phone number and found alot of other people had the same type of call.

Just received a call from this number.  A guy with a extremely heavy Indian accent that I could barely understand.   He said his name was Jack Thomas!  Said my my wife, identified her by name, had to call that number and speak to him.  After further pressing him to just speak to me because I am a co-filer of my tax return, he said call back and speak to Michael Carter and gave me a case number. Called my accountant and said this was a bogus call.  Its been happening a lot.  He said the IRS doesn't call and sends letters first.  Don't be scammed!  I might call the number and [***] with them!

This number has called me 2times. Threaten I would go to prison if I didn't pay the 6000 dollars I owed the irs. Said he was from tax letigation dept. called my tax person and she said it's a scam

Got a call on Good Friday. This idiot has very heavy either Indian or Arabian accent and kept claiming that he is from IRS, and need some information from me, asking if I had an attorney.  I handed the phone to my husband and he hung that up immediately. The idiot called back again immediately, we didn't answer, he left message on our answering machine saying," My name is Jack Parker. Don't try to ignore this message, this is important, call me back as soon as possible as legal action take place."
Our caller ID showed that number as "NOVATO CA, 1-415-251-8361".  Stupid.

He identified himself as Jack Parker with a foreigner's accent.  How come a foreigner with an American name?  I was curious, I called back and got a recording said that he is not available and to leave a message.

Got a voicemail from "Jack Parker" who had a heavy east asian accent. After replaying the voicemail a couple of times, I finally understood that he called from IRS and I was in a tax trouble. He threatened that they would take a legal action unless I called 415-251-8361.
Well, everyone knows that IRS doesn't call, they rather sends letters if they need to communicate.

I have received a voice message on Friday 4/18 from the same phone number as well. Claiming himself was a tax investigator and there was some issue with my income tax.  He has heavy Indian accent. Asked me to call back ASAP before legal action takes place. I just tried to call that number around 4:00am and the answering machine didn't announce any name and just said "this person's mail box is full. Call back..."  I think this is scam!

Same as all previous posts. Received calls on 4/17 and 4/18. Had to listen to messages multiple times as I couldn't understand his thick accent. Is there any place we could report him?

got the same caller on Good Friday.  heavy Indian accent.  said his name was Harry Jacobs... yea right!  Tax Litigation Dept of the IRS.

Got a call from 1 415 251 7090 my caller I'D says it is from Ignacio, California. Same as previous posts says he will send police to have me arrested if I don't pay my back taxes. I called ITS and put them on three way with their guy and he still claimed to be the IRS. He has my name address and number very scary. Very heavy accent. He called and said I had to call his supervisor back immediately, James Anderson got his name ,he said it was John Hernandez and I needed to talk to an officer David Jackson. I ask for us numbers as the IRS reps always give their is numbers freely, he gave me 5467981 then I ask for his officers number and his supers number he said he didn't have to give me. I had its on the phone the whole time. This was very upsetting to me and I just don't understand why someone prays on people like that.

Got a call from this number around 6 AM., caller id said it is from San Francisco/ Bay Area..,a lady with a different accent and lot of disturbance in the call., said that I have to return the call with reference number or else they can take some legal action ...I did not answer and let it go to my voice mail and checked the message and got doubt as it is 6 Am and no IRS would call so early in the morning. Then checked online to see so many scam calls from same number.,

A crank call stating I'm from IRS. You owe money back to IRS and you may be arrested. Some Indian lady voice with foreign name.

they called me while I was on vacation I came home look at the number new all about it called them up and said hey here is my accountants number and it was the number for the IRS Fraud Bureau haven't heard back...hehe...

Two messages left on voicemail on consecutive days from this number. Heavily accented female (Indian?), could barely understand what she was saying, called herself (something) Smith, something about a problem with my taxes and threatening legal action if I ignore their call. I CALL YOUR BLUFF!

I had two missed calls on my cell phone 4/25/14 about two hours apart; messages were left both times. The female had a heavy accent. I could only understand that her name was Nancy, she was from the Tax Litigation Dept., that I shouldn't ignore the call, and that I should call 415-251-8361 right away. I also received the call back number as a text message. I missed another call today 4/26/14. I called the number back on a different phone. Whoever answered said: "IRS, what's your reference number?" I didn't speak right away then asked a couple of questions, which irritated this person so I hung up. I found this website when I Googled the phone number. I feel its important to contribute. I also visited the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website regarding "IRS Reiterates Warning of Pervasive Telephone Scam". I tried to report the incident but the mailbox was full. I have yet to contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

415-251-8361 Has called numerous times asking for me, won't talk to my husband.  I answered on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.   Woman with thick Indian accent stated she was from the IRS and wanted my attorney's name.  Asked what this was about and was told to call Michael Carter at the IRS with this number and case number.  A few years ago my husband received a call from Michael Carter claiming he was from the DEA saying my husband had ordered illegal drugs by mail and they had been confiscated in Miami.  They threatened to come to our home.  I was terrified.  Called my son who is an attorney in Miami and he informed us to type in the information and see it was a scam.   Of course it was!  Why can this not be stopped?
