Yep, I just got one too.  I have no mc but that was what they wanted access to.  Said to contact their security department.
The call back number was a building supply in SF California, not my bank.
Big Scam

I live in upstate NY and received a call today from this phone number. I didn't pick up and no voicemail was left. I googled the number and yellowpages.com said it was the number for Belmont Hardware in CA.

I just got one, as well.  "Call our security department etc etc." I don't have the type of card the message mentioned. Pretty obvious phishing. I did reverse lookup on the calling phone number and it was indeed a supply company in SF California, not HSBC. Also, reported it to HSBC.

Same as above. I don't even bank w HSBC

I live in WNY and got a call today from this number saying it was HSBC and that my acct was locked.  After pressing 1 to talk to a rep. the first thing it asked for was my account number.  I neither bank with HSBC.  So I hung up and called back and was Belmont Hardware.  I never did talk to a human though, everything was automated.  DEFINTELY SOMEONE TRYING TO GET ACCOUNT NUMBERS.

Just got same call.  Live in WNY.  Do not do business with HSBC.  Do they really think people are stupid enough to give out their account numbers.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  No message was left.  It came up Bradley Clore 415-252-5625 San Francisco, CA on caller id.  Have no idea who he is.  If I get one more call from him or this number, I will notify the authorities.  This is harassment.

Just received the same call regarding my debit card being locked.  HSBC.  I too called the number back to get a hardware store.

I'm glad yours was from HSBC too because I thought they had info on me. I am with HSBC and I do have a VISA but it's not a debit card. must be the mafia.

I received same call on my cell, I have an HSBC card. But shame on them fraudsters because they contacted a Bank Investigator. Yes this is a Phising Phone Call, and the number that is showing up is a "Spoofing" phone number, this is were they can make any number they want show up on the caller id to fool you. That is why they are coming back to legit businesses.

Are these the same Sunshia-Kiawamone Net Services guys calling. It seems like they really enjoy calling at weird hours.

Caller is listed as a Bradley Clore from "Builders Focus" in San Francisco CA.  Called my cell Jan 6 2012.  I am in upstate NY.  I don't answer any calls from area cdodes and numbers not in my cell phone contact list.  Looked this one up via reverse phone number.  First of several calls from unknown area codes the past week.  I pay for calls answered or unanswered and this really pisses me off.  Was already registered in Do Not Call registry so has to re-register.

I've been getting a ton of missed calls from random numbers; this one as well.  I just got a new credit card; I hope this isn't related.

I just rec'd call from 415-252-5625.  I did not answer and there is no voice mail.  I have a NY area code, but do not live there.  Hmmm.

Somebody should report these criminals.

I just got one. It told me to contact the security department. I checked the number and found it belongs to a hardware company in San Francisco.

I just received a call from this number also. When I called the number back an automated message answered and said that they are working with their provider to correct this problem

Me too. Said HSBC bla bla. Contact security. Called back and got the same hardware store
