PGE came in on caller ID.  No answer when I picked up.  It was 3:26 AM!

I am getting bombarded with phone calls.  Over 100 a day.

I work for PG&E and this number calls 911 every 3 weeks or so. The police come as is standard policy and nothing can be traced to PG&E because is NOT a PG&E number! The number does NOT exist in the building(s) at 77 Beale OR 245 Market St. It has been investigated thoroughly and remains a mystery.

P.S. It is NOT the 'CARE' program either as I know most of the people in that Program and am well aware of ALL phone #'s involved with it.

On July 24 I received a call from someone stating they were from the CARE program and suddenly "found" my information submitted in June and as a one time courtesy would retroactively apply the program coverage.  Has anyone figured out who this is??  Thanks so much!

My mom just past last month. I had called a couple utility companys to deal with all this. So when i just got a call from guy saying he was with the PG&E Care department it seemed reasonable. He asked about the service and i had a hard time understanding what he was trying to say. When i asked him to explain what he needed from me or why he was calling the call dropped.
I'm glad i checked this number out cause it looks bogus. I'll be ready for his a88 if he calls back. Definitely won't be giving out any information.

I am a PG&E Telecom tech and I received a call from one of my internal clients (another PG&E employee) about this phone number. I have the tools to search all the phone numbers in our phone system and the only phone number we have ending in 1338 is not in area code 415.

This is obviously a scam and I'll do what I can to see if we can shed some light on who is doing this.

I get several calls a day from this number.  When I answer the call there is no answer on the other end.  I did call this number back because I thought it was a PG&E number and the message was that this number is not in service.  I'm just going to put a block on this number.  This happen 5/19/14 and previous times before.  

I just got this call, I didnt answer it due to being in a meeting.  Glad I checked it out before calling it back.  I work for PG&E as well, and if they said they were from PG&E I would of talked to them, thanks you guys for reporting this, I will know better from now on.

This phone number is a random number that is generated when the TSC (Tech Support) does outbound calls.  I confirmed this as they left a voicemail with me and I know it was a TSC rep I spoke with last week and promised a followup call.  I work at the control center as an electric grid operator (I deal with power outages and extreme emergencies).  When I dial out, the modems generate random numbers for outbound calls.  This prevents people from calling and flooding our emergency lines that's for field personnel only.  This also prevents random customers from giving away a specialized phone number to their neighbors.  If I was to take every phone call (which is why we have call centers) no one would ever get their power back on.  Again, I confirmed this is the TSC.  But unfortunately, since I missed the call, I also have to recall the TSC queue and wait... again. :)
