Caller ID shows CALPAL - California Police Activities League. Probably a contracted fund raiser.

Just got a call form John smith 1:30 pm pacific time 04/05/10. I am on do not call registry and have never had a biz relationship before with you guys.

His caller id number was 1-415-358-7683

I asked him what agency he was with and he said he could not tell me. I asked him if he was a sales rep of any kind and he said I have no idea what a sales rep is, but he did knew 2 + 2 = 4.

I hope this guy gets terminated.

I called (510) 544-4300 and left a message with them.

Just received a call from the same number, and the male on the other line also indicated that he represented CALPAL.    I advised him that, in the past, I have been advised to never respond to a police organization-related financial solicitation over the phone.   He claimed that he understood that; but his organization was a not-for-profit representing the Police Athletic League; thus these calls were legitimate.    Needless to say, no financial transaction was made over the phone.

caller ID also shows CALPAL, and a male voice was speaking. They have called about three or four times. This guy bugs.
