IRS-Court action if I don't pay

IS THIS REAL OR A SCAM

This and another number continue to call with a message to call Molly or Vicki Johnson, IRS Agent before they are forced to take action on it.  My understand is that the IRS will not call out of the blue, but will send a letter first.  They know nothing about me and do not mention my name in their call.  I just got a new phone. They don't call my more known numbers.

Got the same IRS-menace style call--a robotic female voice on my answering machine (because I no longer answer my phone if I don't know the caller----what a [***] reflection on the current status of tele-scammers).

It's a known scam.

Known.

The scammers have been doing this for YEARS.   And the authorities are completely impotent to stop it.

ITS A SCAM they called me those indians need to know how to speak better english if they are gonna scam. Dont listen its a scam they almost scammed my mom once they asked for creditcard numbers then boom we knew it was a scam.

They keep calling me and asking for money that i owe the IRS and saying that if i didnt pay they would send the police to my house in an hour and arrest me. But i dont owe anything to the IRS. They did not have any of my info. So dont give your info.

Just got the exact same phone message as all the other posts. They asked me if I had a lawyer. It was an accent I could barely understand. I kept asking what the this case against me was about and he just kept asking for the last four digits of my SS. This has to be a scam.

Thanks they made me mad thanks for clerifying its a scam I don't them they should have my social  so I shouldn't have to ask me and told me I'd go to jail I said to protect my kids yea send the cops on over and I'll let the know I could understand you SMH...

Repeat calls with no messages left - from Belvedere, CA and I don't know anyone or do business there so suspect its another scam.

Officer Johnson left a message and said she was from the IRS:  “The hotline to my position is 415-366-6646.  Don’t disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you.  Good-bye and take care”.  No accent, sounded like a robotic recording.

When I called back, a man with an Indian type of accent answered the phone.  He asked why I was calling and I told him I was returning the call.  He asked my name, to which I replied, “You called me.  YOU tell ME what my name is”.  He mumbled a name and I told him that wasn’t me.

I talked real slow trying to keep him on the phone longer, (1) because I was recording it and (2) so I could listen to what was going on in the background.  It sounds like there’s some kind of filter so you can’t hear his voice clearly.

Anyway, when he realized that I was on to him, he told me F___ you. I replied, “Right back at you.  I’ve got all I need”.

Total scam.  Also, why would you say the IRS is going to take action against you and then the end the robotic call saying 'take care'.
