Fraud IRS call claiming to be an investigator, threatening me with arrest, property seizure, suspension of driver's license etc...  They wanted 5k too make it all go away.

Called twice pretending to be IRS wanting information on my civil and criminal attorneys.  I hung up on the caller without giving any information.  

FOUR Automated messages from fake IRS...Officer Julie Smith...threatening to take action.

I got a fake IRS voice message from an officer named Julie Smith today...threatening to take action too. I called back and a man answered and asked for my address and asked ''what's this about?'' and he hung up. I called back and a lady answered and I asked ''why are you reaching out to me?"' and she hung up.

Total scam!!!

The auto call just came from Julie Smith. I called back. Julie not available.  The person insisted she was with the IRS several times. She would only speak with my wife who she said owed five years of taxes and a warrant was about to be issued. They had our address just from incoming phone number.

My wife explained that we always pay our taxes on time and that it is a joint filing.

My wife asked her to repeat some things telling her "You have a very heavy accent and it is quite noisy behind you with many other people talking."

Finally she said she would have to talk with her case officer and call back.

I fear many people will get this call and think they have to pay a fine.

I did not return the call, but they left several messages on my machine which said  "I need you or your retained attorney  of record to return this call which is of a time sensitive nature. Call my hotline Julie Smith from the IRS.  Do return this call before we take any action against you." Sounds totally fake.

Got a message from the same number as everyone else. Not sure where this auto call is pulling this numbers from, but certainly is becoming a concern when scam calls like that are using fake identification from agencies that actually can do something against you. Reporting this number to the FCC right now. Number blocked.

Fake irs call. Said I owed 5k and would be arrested. I am a full time student and don't even make enough to file. They hung up on me when I asked for documentation.  I called back. I was then asked if I had a boyfriend and if I was a virgin.

Yes this is totally fake, I did not answer but they left the automated message which I saved and will send to the IRS Tax Impersonation Scam right away. I also called back but no answer, but there was a voice mail message which had nothing to do with the IRS. This is a scam watch out for this fake IRS phone number 415-506-1284

someone claiming to be from IRS wanted to talk about a serious legal problem

Rec'd 6 calls from supposed attorney Julie Smith from the IRS....don't fall for it.  Someone actually picked up the phone when I dialed the number and hung up....so I kept calling to tick them off.

I keep receiving messages on my business line to call this number back, with utmost urgency. Then she tells you to have a nice day?????? She states she is from the IRS. I refuse to call back and if I remember correctly this is the same number for the PG&E scam.

Same message as described by Ryan and Grace from 202-241-8711. They left about four messages over two days.

I received several phone calls i could not answer. Several automated voice mails were left from a Julie Smith leaving the phone number 415-506-1284. I called it back, a man answered. He said Julie Smith worked under him. He said he was from the IRS. I gave him my name. He said he could not look me up under my name, he needed my phone number. He asked if I was from La Quinta I said yes, when in fact I had already moved from there,  He wanted to know my attorney's name so that he could send IRS papers to him. I told him I didn't have an attorney. He said I was being sued by the IRS. I asked for what. He said I should have received papers through the mail regarding that. I said I had not. Informed him if they sent them to La Quinta address that was wrong I had moved from there. He said that wasn't his problem. I said it was if he was sending mail there, because I did a change of address.  He said documents were being sent to the court in 45 minutes to be filed against me. I told him I had a professional tax person who did my taxes. I asked again what I was being sued for.  He hung up on me. I called my tax person she said it was a fraud. Don't give out SS # IRS would already have it. And IRS don't make phone calls.

Stupid Indians using VoIP number to scare you to collect 5k.  Fake IRS BS.  Don't fall for their scams.  

Same story. Automated message -twice in one hour from a computerized Julie Smith, allegedly of the IRS. Now when do you think IRS agents work?  Not on Saturdays! Fraud fraud fraud.  Do not call back and block the number. The real IRS would send you a letter and you would know there is a problem long before litigation!

Got several threatening messages saying "call before we take any action against you. good bye and take care." When I called back, the call seemed like it had been routed to India. The The operator kept insisting on verifying my address but wouldn't identify the name of the company.
