I got a txt on my car listed on Craiglist wanting to purchase my car.

Got a call from this # trying to buy my car. SCAM

I sent him a link showing him that everyone knows he is a scam artist. He never responded since. I always look up phone numbers before I sell them my car.

My friend got a response text from him saying he was overseas and wanted her paypal account information! I'm glad this information was out there for us to see!  Thanks soooo much!

Always look up the number before responding. This guy changes his number frequently. But always has the same old scam line.

This fool tested me saying he was a marine biologist and wanted to buy my truck on carsforsale.com.  I am so glad I check phone numbers out. The phone number is through Vonage out of San Francisco California.

He tried to buy my motorcycle in Toronto, saying he was a Marine biologist out on a boat in the "seas area". Terrible English. So I texted him back telling him I know all about 419 scams.

He never responded.

If you're dumb enough to go through with a transaction with this Nigerian scammer, whom I received a text from as well, and sign your title over to some dude in lieu of a seemingly secure and painless PayPal payment, you should expect the following email from PayPal within about a week or two of the transaction:

"PayPal is committed to maintaining a safe environment for its community of buyers and sellers. Our team employs the most advanced systems in the world to protect the security of your account.
During a recent review of our system, we determined that you received funds from an account with reports of fraudulent bank account use. In accordance with PayPal's Seller Protection Policy, the following transaction involving unauthorized funds has been reversed..."

In the possible but unlikely situation that you've already successfully transferred the money to your personal bank account at the time that you receive this message, PayPal will give you the options of either paying them back or placing a collections account on your credit report, therein leveling your credit history and [***] you up in all sorts of unforseeable ways.

I certainly wouldn't ever fall for it, but Economics 101 tells me that enough people do bite that these hustlaz keep doin their thang.

After announcing my car on a canadian site named '' Autohebdo'', i received a txt from a guy who was interesting. He create a nice story of kind: ''I'm a marine biologist, i'm on a boat, we can only texting each other...'' I realized that the 415 is a Californian phone code and that it was a scam. Hope the guy will getting it by a car!
