This man called saying he was with Kel-Aire Heating and my maintenance was due. He knew my name, address & phone number.

Rude callers. The woman calling said they had serviced our furnace in the past and that were running a "customer appreciation week". She said they would clean our ducts and check our furnace for $49, a $400 cost. After I declined she insisted and wouldn't allow me to get a word in edgewise. When she realized she was going nowhere with me, she hung up on me. Rude. I called back, but the number in the caller ID (415-546-9827) is a disconnected number.

yep...RUDE !  Caller identified the company as Bay Area Heating and Cooling and said they serviced my furnace in 2007.  I said, 'No you didnt'...then wouldnt let me speak...I SCREAMED at them to take me off their list (I'm on DNC list anyway...pfffft, that's a joke).  I just hung up on the fool.

They call multiple times a day and hang up. This is a business and they need to STOP!

I've never spoken to anyone on this number. Every time I pick up there is a automated goodbye message and then call hangs up. I've also tried calling back number and it gives me a disconnected message also.

Always calls, never leaves a message. I finally blocked the number through my voice provider

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.  
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S.  The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action  
        committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
        guidelines would be calling, also.
