US treasury legal affairs Adam Roades wants us to call them back before there is a legal mess.

Was just contacted by the same number, thinking it may be a scam. Not sure yet.

Total scam. They threatened to come arrest the person responsible. We contacted the local authorities and were surprised to here they had received numerous calls about the same scenario.

Am a CPA and just got a call from my client, who was subjected to the same scam.  For the record, the IRS would NEVER contact you in this manner.  Found another link on the internet to this scam from last year.  Exact same MO-- See:

GOT CALL FROM 415-685-8856. TRYING They threatened to come arrest the person responsible. THEY  TRANSFER TO SENIOR OFFICER. WHEN I ARGUE WITH THEM THAN THEY DISCONNECT.

They are allegedly from the IRS... they are from INDIA... this is a SCAM

BEWARE the IRS never calls you... they communicate via regular MAIL

Two days ago ... call from Adam Roads 415-685-8856 legal affairs Dept of Treasury and that someone is taking legal action against us and that we should have attorney.. Scared the heck out of us..
Decided to google to see whats up..has anyone confirmed this is a scam?

Got a message from Kevin Miller from the Department of Legal Affairs telling me to call back or have attorney call back before I found myself in a legal mess.  Called number and it was a recording saying that the number has not been assigned.
