caller identified themselves as a member of the IRS asked for my number and name to look me up, then proceeded to ask me questions about my address etc. When I refused to give this information they informed me they must have the wrong number and ended the call.

i got this unknown and from out of state call from this number and this foriegn woman kept asking for my info. and something about the IRS? i questioned her actually being from the IRS and she started cussing me and then left me a
vulcar voice mail!

When I answer the phone, the robo caller says goodbye. No person. No info

They called my son's phone at 10 times today.. I called them back and an eastern Indian accent man started swearing at me when I asked them to stop calling!!!

I received an automated message staying they were from the IRS and when I called back an advised them that I knew it was a scam, he started cursing me and saying very vulgar things and asked why I called back if I knew it was a scam..... Disgusting..... Please don't give any of your personal information!

Be wary ...this same man and woman are also operating another scam (debt collectors with no brains at all) under 646-918-5124.   I had two very nasty calls from both of these numbers this last week and in the process of calling them back to find out what the calls were regarding ...the man that answered the phones both times was the same rude foreign accented [***].   He has a girl working for him (may be his wife - may be just another loser but neither have phone etiquette or know how to talk to people as both of them will start cursing and yelling at you - they will either hang up or they just keep screaming and in that case - well you just hang up on them.

I'm am so mad that the government allows people like this to even own a business ...when I tried to tell them that they are not allowed by law to call more than once a day ...the man just went berserk and I hung up on him.  When I tried to call them back and both numbers I would not get through.

If they harass you ..report it here otherwise we can't shut them down.

I received a phone call from (415) 799-9609 this afternoon (California Area Code), 16 July 2015. I answered the call thinking it might be someone in my military unit for whom I had not saved a phone number. When I answered the phone it was an automated female voice notifying me of an IRS lawsuit of some kind being levied against me, and that I needed to call them back ASAP to prevent further action.

Alarmed by this, I immediately called the same number and was greeted by an Indian or Pakistani sounding male, who identified himself as (first name unknown) Johnson and an investigator with the IRS. He said there was a lawsuit against me and that a Sherrif would be meeting me at my home to arrest me, take me to prison for a sentence of 5 years and 3 years of house arrest. He also stated that all of my properties and assetts would be frozen.

As a "relatively" intelligent person I began to ask logical questions about the lawsuit, upon which Mr. Johnson interrupted me and began to ridicule me. If I didn't know something fishy was going on then, I did by this point, but I was still panicking. He hung up on me and said he'd be seeing me in prison. He never once asked me for any information, but he did claim to have my current address, but it was an address from more than 10 years ago.

Because these related posts seem to be within the past month, I can only assume this was part of the recent data breach with OPM and other agencies and businesses. I would recommend others to remain calm, and report the incident with the IRS. I am on hold with the IRS as I type this message.

I got a message on my answering machine to call, and not to disregard. I deleted it. Foreign sounding woman claiming to be from the IRS.

Same automated message as others are stating.  From the IRS and that it is important that I call back regarding an important matter.  Naturally I panicked and then looked up the number to make sure it was legit.  Obviously not.  I don't know how these people get our numbers but its unnerving.

Was an automated call and the recording said she was from IRS and that I needed to contact them immediately. I know that IRS does not call you on the phone.

Keeps calling leaving automated msg that they are IRS. Called back to scream at them as I know IRS doesn't work this way but says person is unavailable and leave a msg
