Fake DFEA agent, today he's going by Murphy, last week he was Thomas Harrigan. Threatens you with arrest, and so on unless you send him $$. He has the MOST boring pitch of any of these fake DEA/FDA guys.

He is a fake supposed DEA agent carrying on a supposed investigation. A few weeks ago he was Larry Gardeno this week he is David Murphy and so on and so on. Threatens with arrest for suppposedlly purchasing pharmeceuticals over the internet in the past ten years before it became completely illegal. I tell them to quit calling or I will call the real DEA. A real DEA agent will never call your home.That usually stops them from calling for a few weeks and then they try it again. They say they will fly you to the Dominican Republic for sentencing if you don't pay dollars.

just left me message and freaked me out but knew it sounded like a scam. so glad looked up immediately on computer to see that it is indeed one.

I received a voice message from this person over the weekend. He stated his name as David Murphy with Dekalb DEA.? Went on to say in a very authoritative, stern voice that the matter was urgent and MUST return his call to avoid further legal ....blah..blah..... I was believing he was a legit officer/agent of course (why wouldn't I?) but couldn't imagine what ''matter''. Luckily got message on weekend which kept me from immediately calling this # back. So thankful my curiosity bout so-called Officer Murphy led me to this page after no such name found on the Dekalb site. Very shocked to learn what scam I just avoided!

Fake DEA Scammer is at it again, still using the David Murphy name, but new phone number.  He's using: 818-945-1953. Left mess. abt an ongoing investigation and urgent need to C/B.  Glad I found this...will also report to DEA

I got a call yesterday from Anthony Williams.  He called my home and s/w my son who called me at work to give me his name/number.  When I called Anthony, I got a voicemail but did not leave a message.  He called my work w/i minutes to tell me he was a DEA federal agent investigating a pharmacuetical company in LA and wanted to know if I had ever been contacted or harassed by this company.  I told him no.  Then he said my name was found in a lot of their records as purchasing hydrocodone.  I told him I had never purchased drugs through the internet.  He then threatened me and said he was sending a DEA officer to my workplace to arrest me right away.  It shook me up that he has my phone number since he is obviously trying to extort money from people by intimidating and threatening them.

Prior to this conversation, the same guy had left a message on my home phone saying I needed to send him $1500 to pay a fine for violating some kind of drug purchase.
