An unsolicited phone call supposedly from Smart Trade Group, stationed in Japan, Tokyo (even though the country code is incorrect) offering investment services. They knew my company name and address as well as my (unlisted) mobile phone number. Google search on Smart Trade Group showed a warning from Denmark: http://www.finanstilsynet.dk/en/Nyhedscenter/ ... rade-Group.aspx .

But we have only 8 digits number - +371 xxxxxxxx.
Some english speaking lady.
I just canceled a call.

The same situation for me too. First they called from 0014161234567, next time they add 371 infront of previous No: 0037114161234567.
I told them "please e-mail first". They didn't to do it. After that I cansel the conversation.
Third time they called me to mobile. The same story: I asked "e-mail first" she told me, that information, which they can offer me can not be transfered by e-mail.

I got a call from this number this morning. The lady called Christine (I think) I got a call from this number this morning. The lady called Christine (I think) knew my address, mobile number and basically all my details. She asked me what was the best time the manager could call me if 11am would be ok. I said yes. Few minutes later I got a couple of calls from the same number, which I didn't answer. They called me again at 10am (same lady) I said to her I was not interested and asked her to remove my details from their database. I got a call phone from this number Today, a lady asked me in English if I am on the phone.  And my confirmation e it was interrupted.

She knew my name.... From where??

That woman also phoned to my company, my mobile had low battery and call interupted, she did not call again.

The are frauds

They claim to be investment advisors, believe me they are not. It's a huge fraud.

And i told her, "yes, but only little".
And she told me, "O.K. Thank you very much, bay"
It´s very crazy, i don´t call back.

Dnes odpoledne mi volala z telefonního čísla +14161234567 paní s hezkým hláskem a anglicky se mne zeptala, jestli jsem Petr Johan a jestli hovořím anglicky.
Odpověděl jsem že ano, že anglicky hovořím, ale jen málo.
Nato mi sdělila, O.K. díky moc, čau.
Je to bláznivé, nevolám nazpátek, tady jsou uvedeny zkušenosti, že je to chyták na lidi, co budou volat na toto číslo zpět třeba z důvodu přerušeného rozhovoru.
Nejen, že číslo (předčíslí) pochází ze Severní Ameriky, ale předčíslí taky bývá +371 z Lotyšska.
Takže na ně hoďte bobek a zpátky nevolejte!!!

Last week some call me from +14161234567 to my mobil phone (Sony Ericsson). I'm  from Czech republic. Today morning again. I'm not donkey to accepted call from +1416 (Canada) when i don't know anybody here. Be careful! Don't call back!!! It's blague.

Minuly tyden se mi nekdo pokousel volat z cisla+14161234567 na muj mobilni telefon znacky Sony Ericsson. Jsem z Ceske republiky. Dnes rano mi opet nekdo volal z toho sameho cisla. Nejsem hlupak, abych prijal hovor s predcislim +1416 (coz je volacka Kanady), kdyz nikoho v Kanade neznam. Samo osobe je to cislo podezrele na prvni pohled. Nevolejte zpet!! Je to evidentne podvod.

Today, just half an hour ago I received a call from +14161234567. In recently day I received a reply email about a post of mine where I was asking for someone who knows where I can get a ferret here in Puerto Rico (this pet arent allowe here). The person claim that she have a ferret but for reasons of relocation she need to give it away. I was very excited because I really wanted that pet so I reply her to know how or where I can meet her but I noticed that her spanish it wasnt right writen (maybe like my english lol) so I was consern if she was from out side of PR because wont be possible to sent it here.

She told me that she was from EU but she can do some kind of "paper work" to make me the legal owner of the ferret. That was so strange for me because I know it cant be legal here. She also sent me photos of "Lina" the ferret. Well, I had my doubt but I can give it a try. There where when she told me that all paper were done and I only need to pay the pet's fly.... yeah right! This or these persons also sent you an email from a very nice fake Pet Travel Agency with a registry number of the pet and asking you to confirm it. But maybe something went wrong because it didnt have where to confirm, so I wrote to the pet owner that I received the email but no way to confirm. The next they she answer that she call to the agency and they will sent me a confirmation notice with the cost of the fly, a cost that she didnt know how mush will be... lol, yeah, you will use a pet traveling agent but you dont know how much is!

Then I received the email of the agency with the information and asking me to send $218 by western union to Henry Nganfor (the finance officer) in Douala,CAMEROON!!! where were suppose to be the central offices. Ok, that was the last obviosly fact that will be a scam. But no, like I didnt answer anything else a guy with a bad accent english (maybe worst than mine) called me from that number asking me about the confirmation, and if I sent the money because they had the pet waiting. So, be aware of those internet scam... there are many and I read that many are from Cameroon.

I have received a call some days ago from this number.English speaking lady told me good afternoon and then hanged up and didnt called again.Strange.Im from Latvia

They call me from time to time as well. Don't know from where they got my mobile phone number or my name and company name. I told them I wasn't interested before and still they keep calling. I heard from other people in Belgium they call them to, so it's a global thing I guess?

I was called today twice at 7:56 and because I was sleeping I didn't answer, when they will call me I will ask them from where They have my details and my phone number ;>

I'm from Slovakia, I got the call this morning, and because I didn't pick up for the first time, they called me again a few minutes later. I picked up, but on the other side somebody hang up the phone. So I don't know, what it was about, I will check my phone invoice, hopefully nothing has happened, but I will be carefull next time, and do not answer such a strange numbers...
