Someone from this number called me, knowing my name and number, and had told me I had entered a ballot back in May of last year, and that I was one of 5 winners, and that all I had to do was go to some award center in Woodbridge, to draw for 1 of 4 prizes; $1500, a flat screen TV, a Toshiba Laptop, or a Vacation prize to Florida. I do not recall entering any contest to win any of the above prizes, and when I had stated that I would not be attending, they kept telling me that I should, it's a good opportunity, that i should reconsider because of what I could possibly win. I told him once again that I would not be attending, and he said he needed my confirmation RIGHT AWAY, and then proceeded to explain to me for 2 minutes that if I am coming, that I would need to be accompanied by a parent of spouse, and I told him I wasn't attending, and he finally said he would put me down for "not attending", and I hung up.

This number has been calling me daily for about a month. Same scam you have won a prize. I told them  I'm not interested but they keep calling.

The caller gave me their number as (647)478-8566, same story and wants me to bring my wife with me. Their address is 6175 hwy#7 unit#6 Woodbridge. I had one call only, after i told them my wife is out of the country for 6 weeks.

Called and told me that I had won 1 of several prizes (as mentioned above).  They said I entered a draw @ the good food festival.  I did enter ONE draw (purposely only entered one so I'd know if weird people started calling me i'd know the source), and that was to win free gas for 1 year.  It can now be assumed that if you enter a draw @ the Good Food Festival, your information will be given away/sold to other companies, as I have "won" 4 different prizes from 4 different companies since attending the food festival on April 30.
I kindly told the gentleman I was speaking to that I was not interested.  He seemed very shocked/surprised at my answer and he asked me why I wasn't interested. I told the otherwise friendly gentleman that I wasn't impressed with my info being sold/given away to different organizations to harass me, and I knew I had only entered one draw.  He said "God Bless You, and have a nice day".  I thanked him and told him to do the same and that was that.

This number has called me several times this week, with the same "winner" story as everyone else. I have registered a complaint on the "do not call" website & suggest that everyone do the same! www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca

I was told the exact same thing as the above commenters but he said I had entered at Canada Blooms in the Fall. He was aggressive and said I had to come collect my prize in 48 hours in Woodbridge. He was insistent that I confirm my personal information for him on the phone. I told him to mail me something if I had won a prize, at which point he got annoyed and hung up.

I also have the same story as yours. This number, and still other numbers used by them, keeps calling me everyday for several weeks now, usually in the late afternoon or early evening. I have to thank everyone who posted his experience on the internet. I almost became a victim of these Godless individuals who are only thinking of their own selves if I wasn't able to open up my computer and searched through this number on the internet. I was shocked to learn numerous stories similar to mine.

Received several calls from this number, but could not answer because I was not available; tried calling back the number in case it was something important, but only got a almost fax sounding noise with a recording. So this tells me nothing but scam callers.

OMG this is such a bummer they just called me told me i won from a ballot frm taste of lawrence in scarbro. he told me I WON and could pick one of the prizes just had to go pick it up in woodbridge. then i googled this...sucks cuz i accually thought i on something. it did seem weird tho when he kept asking me how much me and my husband make yearly. i cant belive they give out your information so freely. some creepy dudes have my information WTF.

i really wanted the money :(

OMG,it's the same story for me,just now,on my way home. i was told won from the taste of lawrence in scarborough,i can get blablablabla......i can not believe him,because there  was not a office hour to contact the person for business......

I got this number and was told that I'm five of the winners. Ask me to go to woodbine to claim my prize. Also asked my wife's name.

These guys just called me too! Wow a big prize winner whoopie! Too bad I googled their number before they got very far.
I did however fill out a ballot at Rib fest in Scarborough like they claimed but I knew something  was fishy. Same story as above "we need to verify your information m'aam"
Something should be done about these guys! I have a feeling that they steal the ballot boxes and try to use the names for credit card apps or who know what else! No more ballot boxes for me! Another joy lost to [***] criminals. The planet is gettting really over crowded with parasites.

Called but did not leave message. The number was repeated where the caller ID should have been.

They called me On Tue. Sep.7/11.  Then mentioned the Ballot that I've filled up at a Hispanic Festival during the Labour day weekend.  I remember filling out a ballot, however the contest I filled the ballot for, was to win a brand new car.  This man said that I didn't win the car but that I was one of the winners of other prices, a Flat screen Toshiba TV, money prices etc.  He said that I have to come on Thurs. Sep.8 to their Woodbridge Price Centre located at  6175 hwy#7 unit#6 in Woodbridge.  He mentioned that we have to attend a 45 min session which sounds to me more like a Sales scam.  I said that I couldn't attend, the guy gave me his tel. No. and told me to call him back as he would accommodate a weekend so I can attend with my Husband.  I left it at that.  I won't be calling him for sure.  But I'm curious to know what it is about.  Sounds like one of those Time share Sessions where you have to pay thousands of $'s.

I got a 2nd call from this # and fortunately I saw your comments before I spoke to that [***]. I did not say anything but offered him a Chinese version of "go fxxk yrself" and hung up!

i just received a call from them...same story.  I entered a ballot at the Cabbagetown Festival in Toronto last weekend. I was so excited, what a shame.  

So if it a scam, what do they get out of it...other than my email address and obviously my phone number?

Got a call from 416584244 and the story is exactly the same.  I won one of the 4 prices: $1500, flat screen TV, laptop, vacation to Florida.   It was fishy so I googled the number and found out that it was a scam.  Lesson learned do not fill-out a raffle draw in any Festival.
