No answer-hangs up

Saw this number on my call display, but I was out when they called and no message was left on my answering machine.

got a call from the same number and they hung up

Same here they called me and no one answered so i just hanged up

The person they are calling on behalf of Scotia Bank about life and health insurance.

Scotia Bank insurance.

They just called me and its Feb/2011.  It would have cost me air time to sell me stuff???

THEY ARE NOT I repeat NOT with Scotiabank!  I spoke to head office and I spoke to my branch and SCOTIABANK clearly stated This compnay is a FRAUD! Do NOT give them any personal information!
This is the new fraud tatic that these scammers are using to try and gain access to your account!  They got your card number and they trying to access your account to steal your money!

Calls every other day, shown as UNKNOWN caller, never leave message either  I don't answer # if I don't recognize.

Got a call from this number, but I knew it was no one that I knew because they couldn't pronounce my name correctly when they asked for me.  And my name is a WASP name that is very easy to pronounce.... so I hung up on the female that asked for me as soon as I heard her mispronounce my name.  Interesting that the other persons getting calls from this number have already determined that it is a FRAUD call regarding Scotiabank insurance.

This number calls every couple days, save it in your directory as don't answer this

I just recieved another call from this number. They are calling about every 10 days, always before 5PM.

Scotia Bank, thay call several times a day. When I do answer, nobody there, makes me wonder why they even bother calling since they don`t wish to speak to me. F them!

I answer they hang up.  weird... from all the people commenting that it has something to do with scotiabank, I'm a little sketched out. =/

I dont want any calls from this number again. Why are they harrasing people at random? Im with scotiabank since 1999, If I need something Ill do it myself, so stop calling me for your stupid offers.

OPTIMA IS HIRED TO CALL ALL SCOIA BANK CUSTOMERS....... HEALTH <LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH> insurance due to legislation reasons cannot be sold through the branches as it takes away the competiton with private insurance companies  and alot of people dont have insurance, are not adequitly covered and their immediate families are not covered as well so the type of insurance they are selling coveres you from all angels it also insures that u have financial security for you and ur family if something goes wrong and ur hospitalized , loseing wages everyday and ur saving suffer , so these types of insurance gives u and ur family piece of mind if a serious accident or illness occurs!!! they are there to benifit you and make sure that u are covered from all angles! if you have other insurance then all those inclustions exclusions and infe print which can barr u from recieveing coverage are covered because most of their plans will cover you with a cash lump sum that you or your covered family members can use to help pay for things that insurance doesnt ususally cover!! like the bills , themortgagae payment, rent saves you from having to scrambel around trying to find money or take any loans or anything liek to pay for things that may have come up while u where seriously injurered in the hospital or accedntally died ur family and you have the simple pleasure of knowing that if anything where to happen the grief will be a little less because there is a lumpsum of case to use !!

Not answering doesnt make them go away it makes them call u till they get a hold of u or u tell them to f off basically ur dowing more harm to urself than good by ignoring these calls just saying u can do what u liek but if a place continually calls ur house then its a better idea to answer hear them out and then let hem properly be abel to close the file so they will stop calling you !

If you say "No thank you" they still carry on their sales pitch.I told them I allready have insurance elsewhere, but they still won't take "No"for an answer.they still want 23 dollars a month from my account.

Time of the call was 5:50 pm.  I don't have any information.  I would do what it takes to get rid of these [***].
