South Asia accent, very hard to understant. Thought I heard "duck" or "duct cleaning. I just kept saying wat or "I don't understand what you were saying" He gave up first. I liked that.

I am ono the NO CALL LIST. This guy should not be calling us.

I have call dispaly plus an answering machine ..... I never answer calls I do not recognise ...  they can leave a message and then I will decide if it is important

Second "F"ing day of school here and they call at 9:20pm.  WTF is the government doing about this crap anyway.  Call my house way to late and can't even say my name right??  What the hell is this world coming too?  Seriously...

I keep telling these idiots not to call back. They just keep calling. I finally put a complaint into the CRTC about their endless calls. That didn't do any good either. They use many different phone numbers, all with Indian accents (yet they claim their name is "George" or "Henry" - ya right). You just can't get rid of these a$$holes.

These guys call all the time.  So finally I agreed to have them come out to my house on Sept 8th.  Cant wait to see if they actually show up.  What disturbed me the most was that they had my home address, first and last name, (I tried giving him a fake name but he spelled it with my real name!!)  What other type of information do these people have??  Scary since my number is unlisted and on the DNC list :(.  The government really need to do something about these types of calls.

Called Sept 6th, I did not pick up. The government cannot stop this, even though they posture like they can. The only way to stop them is to have a significant campaign where call recipients make appointments to have their ducks (ducts) cleaned, then not be there or say you've changed your mind. Then the people who pay for these referrals will understand the jig is up.
How do they get your number? You've given it out at some  point so you are on a database somewhere like Canada411 or other. It is a simple bit of programming to ping these databases for phone listings, then even simpler to have a bot go through the list with an autodialer.
And you thought computers were all good right?

I just picked up.  Darn, I hate answering telemarketing calls.  But I thought it was a company whose call I actually am anticipating.  And with only a Toronto number displaying with no name... I wasn't sure.  The guy didn't have much of an accent (luckily for me, I am terrible with accents) and he asked for "the homeowner".  Dead giveaway there.  So all I said was, "We don't accept telemarketing calls.  Please remove us from your calling list."  He agreed immediately, I said thank you and then hung up.

Will they call again?  Aaaah, the $64,000 question!  We shall have to see.

Wanted to advertise for a duct cleaning service. would not say the company

After asking him to repeat where he was calling from a few times, I repeated "ear duct cleaning service?" He said yes. I said "No wax in my ears, but thanks anyway!"

We get calls weeky from this company and sometimes several times in one night.  I tell them we don't have air ducts and that it's 9:30pm and I want off the call list.  I get no response and they hang up.  I'm on the government's DO NOT CALL LIST...this is so annoying.

They will call back sometimes twice Ina hour if you don't pick up

Further my Sept.7 post:  Well, I guess asking them nicely to stop calling doesn't matter to them.  I got another call today!  Luckily, I didn't pick it up this time.  They went to voicemail but didn't leave a message (don't you hate that?!).  Until they pi$$ me off with the frequency of their calls, I will ignore them from now on -- apparently, there is no point in answering and asking them not to call.

They call  even if you are on the no call list because they are outsourced, usually to India

Guys do not call the CRTC to complain about this one, they may levy another fee upon us for that, as that is what the CRTC do best, nothing but impose new special fees.

Theu have to pay for call lists. BUT they can get the do not call list for free. That is where the problem is.

My husband and I each picked up the extension and all we heard was breathing, so we did some heavy breathing back  LOL  they hung up and I promptly blocked the number.    This blocking is so great, first call we've had in at least 3 weeks.

I must have had the same heavy breather you had. They reallly shouldn't hire pervs or people with asthma
I said hello....and *heavy breathing....* then an automated voice said "good bye" I put my name again on the no call list..it doesnt help.

I now use a good old whistle on these types of calls or bang my phone on the table. Works far better than being on the DO NO CALL LIST!!!!!
