it was a harassing message. telling me they know where i live and were calling me rude names.

Got a call from this number asking for my wife, saying they had a delivery for her. The woman, who sounded like she had a scottish (or poorly faked scottish) accent, said she was from Canada Post and wanted to know the best time for delivery. It was weird that she knew my last name and had my cell number.

Said they had a package from Stateside and that I owed $40 in duties.
Asked who the sender was and they did not have that information in thier database but they could contact Delivery and find out from them.
Said they would call back.
Went to Distributel site and got a local contact number to ask them:

They said if I get a callback, to call Distributel immediately after and provide them with MY phone number so they could trace and find out who's making the calls.

A woman called asking if she had reached [my previous company's name]. I said no, that this is my personal cell number. She asked if [my previous company's name] was a software company and when I said no, she hung up.

Call from a women who claimed she worked for Canada Post and that she had a parcel for me to pick up and that it was a cell phone from Telus...I phoned telus and they know of nothing about this...the women also had a english accent...very strange...they had my address, and also now have my home phone number, they spoke with my mom and she didn't know...wonder who it is and what they want???

They have been callin my grandmothers house lookin for my mother to get a hold of me,claiming they were rogers and have an unsigned cheeque waiting for me,they needed my address,no deal. They called my sister claimiing they were Sitel( my former workplace),saying they have a t4 and a cheque for me lookin for my address,called Sitel no record of anything,then my sister found this website,and yes its a scottish woman too.... i am calling the authorities.

this lady with the a strong english and scotish accent has been calling my cell phone for over a month now from a bunch of different numbers im going to post this on all the numbers she has called me from...shes claming i had a credit card with capital approved by TD canada trust because i have had my bank account with them for over a year...first of all TD canada trust and Capital One Bank are not even associated with each other..so nice try lady but anyways she had my exact address saying it was approved for $1000 that i had applied for and then said TD canada trust used my signature to approve this card for me? I think not! She wanted access to fax number so i could sign this document cancelling the credit card which i didnt apply for inthe first place..and im sorry they dont just hand out approved credit card to just anyone? people will do anything these days all this non-sense just for your signature so they can use it!

Some guy called me while I was shopping in Western beef in Flushing Queens (I know it's not relevant... but it makes it interesting). He was looking for Sandra. I told him that Sandra probably gave him a wrong number at the bar!

I work at Distributel.This is one of our access codes,all of the above can be true.It means that they use us as there LD provider...........You guys are stupid

Received a call from this #, she had a vague accent of some sort, explaining it was very important to call her as she had a package for me. Left me an extension # which if you would dial it most likely programmes your info in their system. As a rule I never answer unknown caller, long distance, or 1 800 #'s. Their provider is Distributel,so even though it's not Distributel calling, you shoyld lay complaints against them with the CTRC ubtil they clean their house of illegal scam calls. Also I reported the # to phonebusters. I am not familiar with Distributel. Perhaps their core business is spam callers?
