My call from this number was from a Julie. Guess I know to let my answering machine get it. She was talking like she knew me like an old friend. I just don't know a Julie. Call came in out of area.

Someone from this number called my and said their name was lynn.

Some guy called me like he was my buddy, but i couldn't understand the name.  They left a voice mail for me to call him back.

I just got a call from a Lisa Walker today.  She didn't sound pleasant at all though.

I was not home...My daughter received a call from this number.  Her name was Brandi.  She led my daughter to believe it was an emergency and my husband or I needed to call as soon as possible.

This is a collector, they keep calling they place I work for another employee, I wish people would pay their bills b/c I am the person who answers the phone at this business!
When I take a message she says it's related to 'business she has w/ this person'
Whatever, I told her to call that person at their home Number!

They are a collection agency... saying that it's important to give them a call back. Does anyone know who they collect for?

This is a collection agency based in Joplin, Missouri--Midwest Collection Services or something similar. They called our house for an EIGHT year old bill from Great Southern Bank they said is owed. Refused to send copies of statements or anything in writing unless I send them a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Basically she blamed "her supervisor" for not being able to do anything like send information, or even accept money unless it was arranged in advance. She was, however, perfectly capable of being patronizing and rude without her supervisors help.

I also got a call from them, so I googled it and found this site, funny thing is my boyfriend works for them. I don't answer numbers I don't know, and by reading what other people have wrote, it funny to hear it, bc I've been told all there will tricks.

got a call this morning from a Vicky sounded like she now my husband and me. I let the answering machine get it cause I didn't recognize the number.

Just got a call this morning.I called back and told them I was my sister just to see what they had to say.She was wanting my son who hasn't lived here in 10 yrs.She argued it was my name that came up and I told her tough cause I was living at my sister's house and hadn't changed the number.She didn't like that at all.
My son has no debts that would have my name on it so why bother to ask for both of us

This pisses me the [***] off. I get so damned many calls for my brothers. I am sorry if our government has broken us all, but you collection firms have no rights to call people's emergency listings to try to collect.
And further more absolutely no reason to insinuate I'm lying or call me a liar because I say they don't live here, and that I don't know their numbers or that they don't have phones. AND I have no duty to tell you even if they do! Leave me be!
In this country you must earn about $333,000 per year, at the time of this posting, to be a productive citizen -- therefore most of us are not productive citizens.
Shall I now thank our congress for this sweet package?

I got a call on my husbands phone for my EX HUSBAND, I called them and told them this is not his number, she asked me who I was and I said I was the person they were trying to reach exwife, she asked me how long we have been divorced I told her a long time. She then said it was an old checking account in his name and wanted me to pay for it..Sorry, that was his own personal account not mine. I refused to give them his number as she asked for it. Her name was Tracy Walker, I know they use fake names.

Midwest Debt Collection. Called my cell asking for Tracy Boyd.
She apparently used to have what is now my cell number.

Still calling me for my brother who, I told them, doesn't live here. They won't stop calling, and they even said the would. I'm gonna write to my DA and ask him if he can put a stop to this. I'm tired of it. Why do they get to harass me for others debts?

My mother-in-law just received a call from someone stating that they needed to speak a family member who has never lived at this address. The woman who called made it sound like she knew this family member really well. Why do these kinds of people try to harass us when we don't have anything to do with this particular family member or his debts.

They call, but they leave no message.  I have no idea who they are calling for or who they are collecting for.  And if they are collectors, why call my phone every single day and not leave a message?  So... I subscribed to youmail.com and assigned them the "Disconnected" call answer recording from Verizon.  :-)  And they should be very happy that I did not assign them the 17,000 hz high pitched whistle.  

Every once in a while they call from a slightly different number.  All of the digits are usually the same except for the last two.

I believe this is Mid America Control Bureau. It is a collection agency in Joplin, MO.
