A telemarketer saying they are a "Qwest Affiliate" trying to get me to go back to Qwest phone service.

caller ID read 417-875-6070 at my placeof business; they hung up after one ring

call my business number, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.

Will not leave messages for the intended.  Will not give any info and will not allow me to help them.

answered call no one there they called back 3 times before i took phone off the hook

Called my business line & hung up after I answered...called back and got a Tim at Pro-something.

I received a call from (CID 417-875-6007 PROTEL SYST SUP) an "Americanized name" india native. she gave me a bogus name and told me that I would have to give her my AT&T password to apply changes to my account. she went on to inform me that my account was about to receive significant surcharges in my long distance "per minute" billing ( I am on an unlimited plan, she did not know this). since I realized she was still full of it I let her waste more time and tell me that I would be on a conference call with an AT&T change operator and request specific changes to my account. still knowing she was full of it, I let her make the call to AT&T. when I asked the AT&T account change operator if they had been getting a rash of "protel syst sup" account alterations that were misleading, I got this much..." in fact yes, we have had large number of upset customer..." and the call magically got cut off.  time wasted 15 minutes, satisfaction in wasting the telemarketers time... huge!

Said he was with AT&T,  I somehow don't believe it,  why did he not know who was the person on the account,  why did he have to ask for the name of the person on the account.

This should be illegal,  AT&T should not allow people to call and represent them if they don't even know who they are calling
