Got a call from this #, just "Out of area" on caller ID. No message. Some other posts ID this # as Check Resolution Services and others as FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) charity.

FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) charity, soliciting funds , preferably @ $50.

This "Spoofed" number, fake name and many other numbers are being used by "Debt Collectors." Prime examples are: CRSI out of California, Complete Credit Solutions out of Texas and Progressive Financial Services out of Tennessee.  They are attempting to gather information to create an account with someone by getting a credit card number or account number.  These particular places have already drained many peoples bank accounts.

The callerasked if this is my name and hung up.  Called back and the number was disconnected.

Tried to call back, not in service.  Bogus number!  Will NEVER answer it again!

Got call in early morning (EST) hung up as soon as machine picked up.

Called at 805 am FOP

I don't hear my land line calls as I turn off my ringer.  I look at the caller ID and sometimes look up the number if no message.  Usually nothing important, mostly scammers,  charity, or telemarketers.  I only give out my cell to family or friends and anything else to my land line.  Works great!

I get 5-6 calls a week from this number. They never leave a message. Caller ID says "California." DO NOT ANSWER!!!!!

Calls are from the LA area of California.  Leaves no messages. Hangs up after 3rd or 4th ring if not answered.  Caller ID says "California."

Noted one other person here said that this number is disconecting on or before the foruth ring... sounds to me that they are trying to avoid voicemail/answering/fac machines that are often set to answer on or after the fourth ring. I've received another call from a "Private" number that does the same thing; thus, I am suspecting the two events are connected.

Sad, the calls like this have tripled since mid-November - just the scammers and spammers trying to take advantage of us hardworking Americans. Hard enough to earn the money needed for food, house, and untilities and then these lazy @#$#@ try to steal what little is left.

This number calls and never leaves a message. I was home today when they called and they actually got on the line and talked to me. It was a company called Liberty Power and they are trying to sell electricity at a rate cheaper than you actually pay your power company. I am aware of the changes in the law that make it legal for them to do this and the local electric utility still delivers your power and is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure. Google Liberty Power and you will find all kinds of horrer stories about them.

I did get a call just moments ago.  I did not answer as I did not recognize the number.  My caller ID indicated the call came from California.

This is a scammer. Here is the email they sent our company:

" HENRY'S  PLAYGROUND " Color options : White ,green and blue background with red writings .

I also will like to know the type of credit card acceptable by your company and do not hesitate to contact me in case of any questions.I will be glad if you can call me to discuss the project as I give you the opportunity to be full creative on the project.

I received an e-mail from someone using this as their contact number.  First thing that tipped me off that it was a scam?  The wanted to order items from my company - which is in WI, and asked if they can pick up the order (claiming they are in CA).    Also, these scam e-mail contain 'hints' with the improper use of diction "I would be glad" is an example.  

Of course, they are wanting to order a HUGE amount of product - but then if it is sent, and charged to their card, they will claim they never ordered it.  

Always nice to be able to verify a scam e-mail as such though - they are getting better at it :(

I think there trying to scam me,
They wanted info on a product,They werent stupid because they had detailed info on what they wanted.
Asked what the cost were and excepted my proposal. Then wanted to ship items to Endonesia. Thats when my radar went up.
They gave me a contact to get a quote on shipping to mallasia.

Hey we have our troops over there, maybe instead of fighting for there freedom we can blow the crap out of there infrastructure and stop this sh** from comming here.
Anybody got a better idea. Yall Know the law aint gonna do jack.
