Just got on cell phone & did not answer.  Scam, probably.

I don't want to give my polical opinion to them - or anyone else for that matter.  I've received a call from them quite a few times.

Received a call at 11 am Eastern / 10 Central. Since I didn't recognize the number, I waited to hear a voice and never did before we were disconnected.

Same thing here.  The phone rings, I answer it but there is no one at the other end; no response.  I think it may be an auto dialer that calls numbers and records if there is an answer or answering machine.  Then they sell your number to telemarketers.  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!!!!!  I am so sick of that.  I'm on the Do-Not-Call list, but that doesn't seem to work, and reporting them doesn't do any gooe, either.

Didn't recognize number or area code; let it roll to voice mail.

No message left on voice mail.

I called back & got "Ann from Political Opinions; time has expired on this survey."

There WAS an option to opt out of future calls.

I called the number back and it was a call to " participate in a political survey, but the time is now expired".  Oh well, they don't want to hear my politcal opinions anyway, with the way things are going.

My number is listed in the DNC registery. Yet, they still call.

The number is a Washington number ...solicitor

Called my cell phone at 8am Mountain time, though my cell has an IL area code. I, too, have been on the national DNC list for years. That seems to do nothing. I do not answer the phone if I do not know the phone number.

I did the same thing, eventually said hello..... shortly after disconnected.

Called my cell, left no message. I am on the DNC list, too. If I do not recognize a number, I do not answer.

Got a call from them a few minutes ago didn't know who it was so I didn't bother to answer it,no doubt it was probably a scam.SO what else is new?I know of nobody In  Washington.

Did not answer.  Called back immediately and got "Ann from Politico...survey time has expired".  You can press 1 to be removed from the list.

Received call at 9:25 am and rolled into my voicemail but no message was left.

I answered since I was waiting for a call. Like the rest there was no one there. I also called back and got the "Ann" message. I pushed 1 to be removed.

Just got a call from this number, didn't recognize it so I didn't answer, suspect some kind of scam.

I get these calls on my CELL phone and I can only block 6 numbers at a time. This is crazy! I read that this is probably a political call. Nice to know, I am on the do-not-call list at home and on my cell and it doesn't seem to matter. Frustrating!

John from political surveys, if I take their 30 second survey, I'll be eligible for a free cruise.  It's a solicitation disguised as a political survey.  Surveys and political calls have some exemption from the DNC, they exploit a loophole to get around it.  Odds are very good that this is some fly-by-night operation that uses a spoof number to net as many potential victims as possible before they move onto another number and scam.  The best thing to do is to check with your service provider about blocking the number for the future, but these groups rotate from number to number, so it's only a temporary fix.
