Call regarding an "urget" matter.  Looking for a family member.  Woman stated her name was Ms. Catasin? from CR Associates.  Asked me to forward the message to the family member with a file number.  Said my family member had twenty-four hours to get back to them with a "statement"  As caller ID said the number was from Texarkana, TX. I was concerned.  I looked up CR Associates and boy the list of complaints!

If you receive a call from this number, you have been called by junk debt / collection agency that buys debt from original creditors that has been written off or settled and is beyond the statute of limitations in most states. They are trying get the money for themselves, not the original creditor.

They are reportedly a serial violator of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). They may be illegally using credit information obtained from Experian or other credit reporting agencies.

This company has been known to contact and harass people they believe may know the person they are trying to reach including distant relatives, ex-spouses and possible former co-workers.

NEVER answer these calls if you see this as a caller ID. NEVER return these calls. NEVER give them ANY information about the person they are seeking or refer them to others.

was called by the number 430-200-0007 the lady on the other line said her name was Ashely McCraw and she was looking for my husband i asked her what it was about and she stated that it was none of my buisness and to have him call her back she said that she was from CR Associates and gave me the number 1-877-238-5751 she was very rude to me. i looked up the phone number and found out it was a scam thank god for the internet.

I was called by the number 430-200-0007 by an Ashely McCraw with the offices of CRA.  She left a message saying something about a legal matter.  She also called and harassed my mother and my 78yr old grandmother.  Thanks to this site I have had the calls stopped.

A family member and I received calls today, did not answer as the number was unknown to us. Caller left a message stating it was urgent for me to contact them about a legal matter.  Call back number is 877-245-1482.

I received a phone call yesterday, 10-7-09 from a 843-278-0375 at 9:17a.am EST from a Lindsay.  She stated that it was a very urgent matter.  The thing that bugged me out was that in thr first phone call she said my age was 51, and also stated where I worked.  I'm actually 31, so I blew it off.  She called again today, 10-8-09at 2:52pm EST stating the same thing.  The number she told me to call back on was 877-245-1482.  I called the number a little while after and a deep-voiced man answered "CRA".  I just said I had a wrong # and went to check it out online, only to find quite a few complaints about them.

I've received two calls to my office. The first message was taken by a coworker and the other went to my voice mail. The caller, Ashley Stone from CR Associates urged me to return their call within 24 hours to confirm my home address which they already have on file so they can send documents. The call displayed as private on my caller ID but she left the return number of 866-414-1361 and instructed I refer to a case number.
I've noticed this feed is fairly old, but it's not the only feed reference this organization.

I received a call today from 18664141361 about a debt with kay jewelers that I settled in 2006. The reps said that it was 748.36 or something ridiculous, but it was more than twice the amount I had originally owed. If these people are trying to scam me, then I will be pursuing matters further.
