Answered, told the guy I had no job or money, but I'm sure that won't make them give up.  There must be 15-20 different numbers for the LS  that continue to call, even after reported on Do Not Call list!

What did they want?

These guys are persistent... have been calling the house daily for several months.

we are on the do not call list. continue to call and hang up if we don't answer . losers need to get a real job instead of calling and trying to steal from honest people. 4348789934 unpublished number from va. all telemkt. calls cannot be unpublished numbers by law!! must disclose their co. name on caller id. fake business. do not give these people any information if they call.

This is one of four different numbers he Leukemia Society is calling me from daily.  They do not leave a message.  Today it rang one time and they hung up.

The only way to stop them is to call back the number (I did this after hours so no human would answer) and select option "1" to take your name off the list.   They will prompt you to enter your telephone number.  Once you've entered your number they say it will take up to 30 days to take you number off the list.  In my case it took effect instantly and they ceased calling.

Being swamped with calls from several  "scam" numbers. On Do Not Call....that's no help. Any ideas?

I bought a Panasonic cordless phone system allows you to block number just because this outfit became such a pest.

Didn't answer, I'm getting calls every day from this #. and also from 240-699-8899. Caller ID shows "Help Save Lives"- I couldn't find any charity under this name. Enough of this sh.... t!!!!

I did not answer the call.  The caller ID had this phone number but it said Anonymous.  Please be aware that if you report it to the Do Not Call list, they will do nothing as if this is from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or a telemarketing firm calling on their behalf, it is a non-profit organization and they are EXEMPT from that law.  Charities, political organizations and surveys can still call you as it is not illegal, though some may still be scams so you have to remember the organization name and look it up with your Secretary of State's office in you state to determine if the call is from a legitimate organization that can solicit in your state.  Hope that helps somebody.  The Federal Government does not care about you being bothered by solicitations by phone from charities or political groups, unfortunately.

Right.  The Do Not Call list is for telemarketers only--those who are trying to SELL you something.  Charitible contributions solicitations, public service info, and political bullsh!t are exempt from the Do Not Call guidelines.

Receiving daily calls from several numbers identified as Help Save Lives-numerous calls per day from different numbers.  I have seen enough complaints so I am going to file a complaint with the FCC.  They do pay attention if enough people complain.  This is just wrong, especially considering that WE pay for our phones for our use...not to be harassed by an organization with nothing better to do.

Suggestion: See if your hone company offers "call rejection" service. If so, get and dial in the numbers you want blocked. It's simple and works well for me..
