Received a call showing Montreal,QC from 438-448-6879 at 9:36 PM on 01/06/16.  A woman spoke a few foreign words and hung up!  Who the heck are these people!!

I just recieved the same call. She said something I couldnt understand and before I could say anything she hung up.

Same here... could not understand the message she left on the machine.. weird!

I was yelled at but she asked for my brother in law I said he isn't here and then a dude yelled at me

Called 1/7/15 - @ 8:10 - CALLER ID SAID - QUEBEC

Caller said in FRENCH - that she was sorry but she dialed the wrong #.
before I could reply back in French, she hung up.

Same thing just happened to me

scam. Few words basically 'pardon me I dialed the wrong #

Strategy : block this caller

Same person called. Said something like i will call your cell. Couldnt understand all of message.

Came in on my cell phone and very bizarre, it's an iPhone and my choices are accept or reject.  But no matter how many times I click on "reject" the screen remains the same.  I sure am not going to click on accept.  Will try rebooting the phone.

Ditto to all the comments above. A woman said something in French and then hung up. I think it may have been a robo call and only a recording of the voice. I have no idea what the motive is. My caller ID said Montreal, Quebec. What's the deal here? I'm completely flummoxed.

Same here, I said hello and the lady said in french that she was sorry but she dialed the wrong # and hung up.

same here.  very strange.  what are they trying to do? they're not selling anything obvioulsy.

juts curious -- do all the rest of you people have French-sounding last names? i do. i wonder if this company is calling people with French surnames, and then when they hear an American English speaker answer, they apologize and hang up.

This number called me on Jan 8, 2015 shortly after 5 pm. I didn't answer my phone. Based on the comments above, it sounds like someone is trying to find working numbers to sell or use later on to scam you. By answering your phone you've confirmed that they've found a working number. In response to Korgy, I don't have a French-sounding first or last name, nor does anyone who has ever had this number.

Just received the same call in french at 6:50. She also hung- up before I had a chance to answer.

Yeah I got a call from that # @ 9:03 pm, I didn't answer but I did hear a woman say....I'm not leaving a message.... on my answering machine & hung up

Female voice left short, indecipherable message on my answer machine, then hung up.
