They called me today and said they were BCS or PCS. They wouldn't tell me anything else but kept hounding me for a SSN. The girl was incredibly rude and simply hung up when I requested information by mail. My advice to anyone with these collection calls is to demand everything by mail.

I too received a call like this but it was for a person who works FOR us and is not in the office.  This company would not identify themselves and kept asking for the HR department.  I told her we had no HR department, thank you, and hung up.  She called back and said I was rude and wanted to speak to my supervisor (I have no supervisor) I told her ok, hold on, and then I came back and said hello?  She said didn't I just talk to you?  I said yes, I am the Supervisor, to which she became extremely agitated and rude.  I hung up and then called back this number and they would give me no information at all about who they were.  Very suspicious.
