    they don't identify on incoming call -  leaves a message and 800# and Ref #.
    they say they are collecting a debt for an account from 1980 - not my account
    It is Portfolio Recovery Associates -  very shady and very questionable.  also creepy because they have your credit info but won't provide any account details on the bogus acct. just a dollar amt.
    I wish that I had looked up all of their scam info before calling back

    They are calling a elderly disabled friend of mine over debts that are not hers. The calls start at 8 am and go on until 9:30 pm

    So they are called PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES

    They stopped calling me after one and a half years. It seems that is how long you will need to wait if you NEVER talk with them. If you talk with them they think you can be strong-armed into sending them money.
