These people call every day!  They call like 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 7:00 p.m. and then again aroun 10:00 p.m.  I never answer a call from a number I don't know.  Finally, I got fed up and answered the phone and they were asking for someone I don't know.  I told them that no one by that name is at this number and to please remove my phone number from their list.  Obviously it didn't work, because they keep calling.  They called again tonight and I didn't answer.  I then decided to call back and when I called them, someone answered the phone and said, "This call is being recorded for quality assurance, how may I help you?"  Not, even the name of the person or the company was stated.  I asked why they were calling and they told me who they were looking for.  I told them again tonight that they had the wrong number.  The lady told me, "Ok, we will take your number off of our list".  This is the 2nd time I have told them to take my number off of their list.  I doubt they will quit calling.  I don't know how else to convice them that the person they are calling for does not have this phone number!

They call 1-2 times a week..no answer just an automatic message. If i don't answer, they leave a stupid message to call them. It's getting freaking annoying

Thanks to this posting list I was able to figure out who was calling me.  I honestly can't think of what debt I have with them, I have several medical bills.  I have answered the phone a couple of times, there is no one there when I pick up the phone.  Yesterday I got an automated message on my voicemail never stating who the company was or even what # to call them back on, just a case number?!?!?!  It rang in as a 000-000-0000.  Today I had misplaced the phone in the house and when I found it it had the 443-550-7975 number on the caller id, but no message was left.  I am tired of the calls, and the one time I actually did get someone to answer the phone there, they didn't identify themselves or the company.  I asked them who they were looking for and they said me.  Mind you they didn't state my name, and they refused to tell me what they wanted unless I gave them my social security number.  I hung up on them and the calls continue.  If it happens too much more I am going to contact my lawyer.

I returned the call from this number when I saw it on my phone and there was not a voice mail. The girl on the other end started spewing personal information about me that I don't think she should have had access to (see notes below***).

I didn't answer any of her questions and asked what it was in regards to. She said she was a debt collector. See the email below. I sent this email to West Asset Management Company addressed to zdbostick@west.com:

"PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT

At or around 6:45 p.m. on April 1, 2008 I received a telephone from a collection agent employed by West Asset Management. This employee was abusive and violated every standard in the industry. I formally requested that I receive no further communication from West Asset according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act / Public Law 104-208, 110 Stat 3009. The agent abusively refused and informed me that she would never stop calling. She also said that I had no rights.

Please be advised that if I receive one more phone call, I will elevate this to the next level by reporting West Asset to the FTC and Attorney General by filing a complaint.

Please consider this my formal request and warning according to my rights by law."

If WAMC does not comply, I will definitely file a complaint and I encourage everyone else to as well.

***side note: I was once on jury duty for a murder/drive-by trial. The gangster on trial had a job like the debt collector with access to information that is personal and sensitive.

I'm a bill collector and they are getting on MY nerves!I seem to to miss the call or never reach a rep. But there are Federal Laws that they should follow wnd it seems that they are breaking ALL of them. If you don't want them to call or mail anything just ask for a FULL Cease and Desist on every number that they have under you file. But these people may want it in writing... And if they call you more than 3 times per day... That's harassment... And you CAN sue them for it...

My log shows that this phone number 443-550-7975 has called my cell phone 33 times from March 14, 2008 thru today April 11th, 2008. The threre times I did answer the call, there was no one on the other end.

I've learned that if someone doesn't respond to my hello within 1 second, it is usually a telemarketing auto-dialer and I immediately hang up.

However, this number is prbabbly not telemarketing because of their persistant calling. Googling this number has lead me to this web site where I see it's a collection agency.

One other collection agency called my home phone because my first name matched the last name of the person they are looking for. Since I have an excellent credit rating and am debt free, I can only assume that they too matched my first or last name to their debtor's name and are now calling my number out of their desparation.

I tried to call them twice to order them to remove me from their call list, but I only get a recording to leave my name and number. Both times I just hung up.

They are pestering the hell out of me! I don't owe anyone any money, so I don't know why a bill collector would be calling me. How can I stop them???

This number is showing up on my work phone. I really think this is illegal.

I am getting the same calls here at work and at home over medical bills- CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT because they are over over my credit as well.
I think personally they get paid commission for every account they get to pay and that is why we get so many calls a day. I am not to get personal phone calls at work and they have gotten me in trouble more times then I can count. I even get wrote up. They are wanting over 5000.00 from me over when my son's insurance company dropped him from the insurance with out notifying us about it.

West Asset Management.....They call ALL OF THE TIME, several times a day.  They are calling me over unpaid medical bills that insurance didn't pay as they should have.  I told them to call my insurance company, not my fault.  Then they were rude & told me I had to pay them or else.  Or else what??  Put it on my credit history, it will fall off in 7 years anyway.  A-holes!!!!  They will NOT work with you at all, they just demand money.

I get a call every day from these people. When I did return their call, I was not told what it was about but they demanded I verify some very personal information. I refused to do this over the phone. They refused to send anything in the mail to me about it. Some heated words were exchanged and they closed with "Well, go check your credit rating now! Bye!" That was over a week and about 20 more calls ago. I don't trust these guys. They also use 903-891-1105 when calling another number.

I got a call from this number and they would not tell me who they were. I spoke to them, and before I would give them my information they would give me theirs. Very sneaky. They just need to be up front with who they are when asked, if they are legitimate.

I recieve like clock work on every Tuesday a call at 9am and again at noon from these anoying people.  I have talked to a person before to check and see what they wanted, and I explained to them that those medical bills had been paid nearly a year ago. They then asked me to fax them a copy of the payoff reciept and check if possible, and guess what I did everything they asked, and yes they still call every Tuesday. Can't really afford an attorney so I guess I will Continue to be as stubburn as they are and just not answer the phone.  But I will warn if you try and buy a house or car it does show up on your credit report, and that is just not RIGHT!!!!!!!

Don't dail my number again

This number 443-550-7975 has recently started calling my cell phone. I answered once and was told to wait for the next available CSR agent. I hung up immediately assuming it was a sales call, and not wanting to waste minutes. Reading these posts I see that they are a collection agency. We have no debt or unpaid bills so someone must have used my number. They are really starting to get annoying, but I didn't see any concrete solutions posted on here as to how to get rid of them. Any thoughts?

Wow I'm glad that im not the only one getting calls from this number. They call me like five times a day and I don't answer you think they'd get the point. It's getting me mad. From what i've read there bill collector, I don't have bills im a teenager, stupid bill collecting people.
