A real person from this number called alleging they could help me avoid an action by the us treasury and an appearance before a magistrate judge. Didn't use my name and didn't leave his. I called the number back to "have a word" with him but just got a busy signal. Phony baloney!

1/18/16  3:45 PMJust got this recorded message regarding my failure to appear at a federal court hearing Caller id showed Baltimore.  The voice says his name is Steve Marshan, but if ask for the message to be repeated, it will be repeated.  Scammers are using state of the the art marketing tools!

Lat night, a threatening call from a male with a non English accent on our machine saying I needed to contact them immediately. He was from the US Treasury Dept.

They should be found and arrested but the police are not willing to do anything about it.  I called the police in my city and in the city of the area code and they both said there is nothing they can do.  What a croc, get off your lazy [***] and keep these low lives from stealing from some poor old lady.

I get the same message fairly regularly. Just received it again today. Says he is "Steve Martin".  Funny thing is, same guy called me the other night (recognize the voice after all this time) saying something was wrong with my computer.  I said "Oh you must have me confused with someone else. I don't have a computer". And then hung up.  I cannot believe they cannot catch this person after all these years.

Same guy called us from this number and then called again 2 days later with slightly different message from 646-760-5375.

I have received two calls from this number stating I needed to pay the U.S. Treasury to avoid appearance with the magistrate judge or grand jury. He said his name was Steve Merritt. However, no it's a scam but I want to report it anyway whoever these people are they need to be made to stop. Obviously they been doing it for a while now.

Same treasury warrant statement;  I played along for a bit and then told him this is a scam.  He got quiet and I told him "it is isn't it? "  He said he wasn't acknowledging that.  Told him don't ever contact my number again because I was reporting him to the Feds.

Gentleman Steve Mar????  stating call is an intent to contact me about enforcement action executed by the us treasury. ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. I advise you to cooperate with H????? and help H?????? help you. Thank you. He included a call back # 443-573-0805. His accent was thick in parts of his script and I was unable to understand what he said. My caller ID showed that the call came from the 443-573-0805#. My answering machine picked up the call and it was a robo call that recorded twice.

This idiot might sound more real if he could even speak English without such a heavy foreign accent!! Called and threatened with court or arrest, US Treasury. Why won't anyone do anything????? I can be a real [***] so if they keep calling I will raise hell from here to Washington DC! This is crap!

Just received same message as others have reported. There was a lot of static in the background and the speaker had a very thick accent and halting cadence. It was difficult to hear and understand the message.  Thank you to all who have reported on this scam. When I looked up the phone number the company is reported as both a "financial service" and "telemarketer".  I hope it is soon changed to SCAM.

Got this message two times today within a 3 hour time frame.  This is the kind of thing that should be reported as urgent news, NATIONALLY.
