I received a questionable e-mail and after searching the e-mail address on google found this site. It is scam, but the number that is typically listed in the e-mail is "447035957231" (if you search it to the left you will see that many other people have received the same e-mail as I have). Just thought I'd add the post here so that others didn't fall prey to the scam.

Yup, I got the same e-mail as that one shown. When I asked for some additonal information, they sent me this follow up e-mail.
As you say, a total SCAM, watch out.

I got the same email. They first sent a short email to see if my place is still available the email address was Shelly Bockman. When I responded, the email address changed and said this and is scam is written all over it:

I got this same ditto email... she says she is from spain, 27 years old, single female, someone u wud like to live with and everything that you all guys have mentioned. I was kinda excited when I got the email but when I tried calling her I couldn't. Accidentally, I searched the phone number that's in the email +44-7035-907855. I found you all guys. Thanks to this website. Saved me.. but I am worried that I have replied back giving my address.. damn...

I just got this same email. I too was a little skeptical of someone who said they were born and raised in the UK but had awful English grammar and vocabulary. So happy I found this website after searching for the name in the email and hospital that she said she was working at. This person even bothered to send me a photo of two people, claiming that it was her and her husband, but the woman in the photo didn't look half Indian and Spanish.

Ive gotten the same set of emails as you all, so yes it is a scam. but how exactly are they trying to scam us? the last one I got said she was having furniture sent to me with a check for the rent. Im cutting off all ties to this email, but again, what are they trying to do here?

So, I took this scam further than anyone else that has posted so far. This is a scam for people with a place available for rent. Here is what they do:

1. Get you to trust them
2. Pretend that they are having items sent to your place
3. Send you a fake check to cover moving costs of the Items
4. After you deposit the check, a supposed moving service calls asking you to pay the moving costs.

Your bank account shows that the funds are available but really it takes 3 to 5 days for the check to clear. When the bank finds out it was a fraudulent check the funds get removed from your account. So if you gave these people money, you just got scammed.

They sent me a check for $4,875. $950 was for rent and the security deposit, $2000 was for the moving costs, and the rest was for me to hold until this person arrived. I went to the bank and told the cashier I was suspicious of the check. They thought for sure it was fraudulent so a hold was placed on the check. About five minutes after I returned home from the bank, I got a phone call from some guy asking for $2000 to cover moving costs. The guy who claimed to be a mover wanted me to give him $2000. I could barely make out what he was saying. He spoke terrible English. I told him there was no way I was paying for anything until the check cleared. While I was talking with this mover guy my bank left a voice mail stating they contacted the bank were the check was sent from. Come to find out the check number was red flagged for being fraudulent. The check was denied.

I even called that number they gave us before I new what was going on and spoke to some guy (who I could barley understand) that claimed my potential roommate was not home. I called again after the check was denied and the guy claimed to be my potential roommates husband. He tried telling me the funds should show up in my account and I should be able to pay for the moving costs. He kept telling me the money should be in my account even though I repeatedly said the check was fraudulent and was canceled. He finally said he would have his wife email me. The funny thing is, in one of the first few emails she said she was single, then in a picture she had a boyfriend, and finally this guy on the phone was her husband. Either she moves really fast or something does not add up here.

Got the same email and was very suspicious as mine said she was a chemist coming to work for the EPA and was born and raised in England.  There is no way this was written by someone who was a college graduate.
