I just got a call from this number about an hour ago.  Spam?

Just got a call from this number too, they left no voicemail. Wish I knew who it was.

They say are calling about lowering the interest rate on an existing credit card.  Not sure if it's real or spam...

I don't even have any credit cards any more, so why would these idiots call me about lowering interest rates

If you want to stop these calls then you need to dry up their revenue source. Your phone company is charging you a fee for caller ID. Your phone company pays the scammer for sending their caller ID information. Your phone company pays only a fraction of a cent per call and you pay $5 to $15 to your phone company. The scammers send out millions of calls per day which amounts to a significant amount of money however your phone company is charging a large amount to millions of customers. This may have something to do with the phone companies inability to stop these calls. You can also see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.
In order to stop this we need legislation making it illegal to charge for caller ID. If a phone service wishes to operate it would need to provide the caller ID at no charge to other phone providers and to it's customers as part of the service. Here is the $50,000 solution that the FCC is looking for and it doesn't cost anything.
Many of the disposable numbers come from Pacific Telecom Communications Group and they are currently under investigation and in the midst of various lawsuits. (The principles involved have been part of actions by the FCC under other business names). I got a call on my cell phone from 458-201-0362 which was from Card Services which is a telemarketer.

its a telemarketing number i called back and a answer machines answers

458-201-0362 has called my cell twice today so far, an hour and a half apart. I didn't answer either time, no voice mail. When you call it back it goes straight to a busy signal.

Do not answer. Wanted to lower my interest rate, but never mentioned what account. Definitely a scam. I just hung up.

Received call from 458-201-0362  CID said "card services".  I do not answer calls from unidentified callers and they did not leave a message on answering machine.  I am also on do not call list for all the good it does!

I wish there was a great way to piss these people off, or at least make them regret to have called you in the first place.  I would like to call them, wait until someone answers and give them a piece of mind. :)

Just got a call from this #. Caller ID shows Eugene OR. Recording saying a problem with my credit card (did not give a name of any card co.). Last notice to lower interest rates.
