- OGot a call to my work cell phone - a number that is unknown to anyone outside my company. Left no message. Assume it's a spam marketing call.
- tired| 1 replyIs there any way to stop these people this my cell phone they constantly call. How do they get these numbers
- RichOne ring, dropped, now ticked!
- Caller: ?
- Robin| 1 replyIt's from some telemarketers called "Senior Citizen". I already have their other number they call from blocked, just blocked this one as well. I will continue to block every one they call from. My # is supposed to be private. So much for that. The only sort of calls I get like this are from either senior citizen type scams or other "older" type things. That leads me to believe either SS or perhaps Medicare (which I get due to disability, not age) is giving out my number. My insurance company tells me they aren't doing it, but who really knows nowadays. I honestly don't know why I pay extra for a private #. It doesn't do any good. If anyone knows of a good way to block these things, PLEASE post and let me know. I know my call block system will get full really fast.
- Caller: "Senior Citizen"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Katie replies to RobinI know, right. I've changed my number five times because of a stalker, and now I'm plagued with all these solicited calls. I'm not sure which was worse
- R.I.If you receive these calls on your cell phone simply ignore the call or hang up! Then send text message stating to take your phone number off there list! You must include your phone number with area code in your text message.
I have received so many of these calls, that I inserted an auto text. Send immediately after receiving these calls. This does work! Now if I could stop all new telemarketing calls that would be great!- Caller: No one was on the line
- AJinesThey have been calling my home phone nearly once a day for a few weeks now. If I answer, they don't say anything. Now I just don't answer when they call. I hope they will eventually give up. I have no idea where they got my number because it's supposed to be unlisted. The caller ID says "senior citizen". No one in my family is a senior citizen or on Medicare or anything like that. Ugh.
- Caller: Senior Citizen
- DebbieThey keep calling me . I removed myself from their calling list 8 times but they keep calling!!
- Caller: no idea
- GustavoI keep getting this call number 458-201-2307 and just an answering machine saying ( If you do not want be call for our promotions please press 1 now )
- JohnFirst time I got called from this number, was today..! From reading the other comments on here., has anyone tried to con them back, via the Attorney Generals Office..?? Our Government seems to have other priorities in mind and our protection is not one of them.? Definitely not the protection of this countries seniors., from the criminals., that seems quite obvious.?? USBank defraud me out of my home I’d owned for over 17 years..! Long story but the US Attorney Generals Office lets them totally get by with it., thousands of us.? Time the Attorney Generals Office hears an outcry and do their job concerning any and every infraction..! All they did for me, was send me a complaint form, from AARP..??
- DianeTwo calls yesterday on my new cell phone number. I didn't answer and no message.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DallasThey called , I didn't answer. They hung up without leaving a message.
- 2tired4thisAccording to others it's a telemarketer - "senior citizen"? Seems hinky to me. What kind of telelmarketer doesn't want to talk to you to try to sell you something? Wondering if its some other type of scam. Is there a way for criminals to hack, spoof, hijack, or whatever, your ph w/o talking to you? Over last 2 yrs I've been getting similar calls from many # , w/ same m.o. (silence on vm, hang up after 1-2 rings). I had a very private cell # for abt 8 yrs, only given out to spouse, mom, & sis. I'm on the do not call registry. So it shouldnt be a "legit telemarketer" (if there is such a thing). I used to have a very quiet ph. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere this started. I guess I'm not the only one. I just wish someone could get to the bottom of this. FCC MAYBE?
- Caller: UNKNOWN/SCAMMER?
- Bonnie replies to tiredYes - there are blocking programs if you have a smart phone - I use Black List Ultimate - it seems to work well
- 2tired4thisJust found on another site that this number + many others, who knows how many, belongs to a company called CALLERID4U, a "caller ID compliance company". They work w/ illegal telemarketers, collectors, and who knows what kind of criminals who use their "services" for "high volume calling" and customer service. Their subscribers pay to have a legit ph # show up on our caller id's so we don't know who is really calling. Look it up online.
- Caller: CALLERID4U
- Fred NGot two calls from 458 201-2307. The calls were 1 minute apart. I didn't answer either one so maybe the worst is over now. I think sometimes the numbers are computer generated and if you answer they log that the number is valid. Hopefully there won't be anymore calls from this number. I make it a point to not answer if I don't recognize the number. It is a shame that this sort of thing goes on, but solicitor calls have been a problem for at least 30 years - long before cell phones, you just didn't carry your wired phone around with you so you could get away from it.
