    this number says i texted them and charged me 25 cents. i've found out through other sites that it is sony ericcson registering your phone. if it is true i have no idea... but if you put the number into google then you will see a lot of people's comments about the phone number.

    Yes i also charged with same. 5 Rs(Indian)
    but as purchaged a new soni erricson cell. and when it was running automatically one opo up came and aksed to send a msg for registering the phone.
    as i clicked ok so they charged me 5 Rs.
    i think it is for just registering ur phone with soni ericssion

    I too have been charged rs.5(INR) in my Airtel bill.. but have no clue when an sms was sent to this no., though i too have sony ericsson k790i since last 1.5 yrs, but this is the first time i have been charged for this sms. Tal abt timing or what!

    we were also charged .25 for a supposed text message.  Having never sent a text message...ever, AT&T reversed the charges.  I'm glad to know what this number is all about.

    We just got our first bill from AT&T and had a charge on 2 of our 5 phones lines.  Just happens the two charged were on the upgraded line to the W580i and the newly added line...also a W580i.  Called AT&T and got the charges reversed.  Thanks AT&T!  Someone is making a bundle...25 cents at a time.
