I get calls from this no. telling me my credit card account is eligible for lower interest.  They ask me to press a certain no. for details.  Who is calling please?

Apparently, these morons have never heard of the do not call list....when the PSC and FTC hear about them, maybe something will be done...I guess I'm going to start answering them and telling them to leave me alone....NOT that it will do any good!!

I got a call from these nuisances for the first time today. It looked like a fake number because of the "000" after the area code, I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer the call.

Credit card scammer.  They just keep changing their number. I just keep blowing a whistle when I get the live person on the line.  It works for a couple of weeks until they change their number again!

They are calling to tell me that I am eligible for lower interest rates on my credit card.  I have joined the National No-Call Registry.  How do I stop these calls?  They are so bothersome.

I pressed the number to talk to a "real person."  She asked me how much debt I had on my cards, then fumbled and restated that as the "major cards."  She then asked what my highest interest rate was and how much I owed.  She then asked for another card with a couple more thousand on it "to qualify."  I gave her a second one.  She then said she had to verify the card.  I told her that since she called me and not I them I wouldn't give a card number over the phone.  I then asked if they had a website.  She got upset and told me "NO!"  Right after that she said, "You know sire, if you are going to be this . . . (trailing off.)  Well, have a good night sir!  (Spoken angrily.)
 Today any legitimate business will have a web presence and be more than happy to share that.  Her attitude and their lack of a website - besides the bad telephone number, all ensured that I would never deal with these people even if they later turned out to be legitimate (which they are not.)

I have repeatedly ask these people to stop calling and take me off their list and I am on the do not call list. Just as soon as you press 9 and start to tell them remove my number they hang up on you and then the same company will call from another number. I have reported their numbers many times. This is from a LOWER YOUR RATE for credit cards. I am really bugged, after so  many years of this and still nothing deters them.

They have been calling for quite a while. I finally decided to pick up the phone to tell them to stop.
1) the person on the other end had such a heavy middle-eastern accent, I almost couldn't understand.

2) told him POLITELY to take my number off.

3) called once again to day.

4) can't return the phone call because the number is fake. Area Code 468 does not exist.

468-000-5524 Crock of crud.  They need to go find a real job.

Here I am again for the same number: 468-000-5529.

I called my phone provider and complained. The CSR told me to implement Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) which I did. And Call Block - *60. I did both; however since area code 468 does not exist, the *60 doesn't work. I've been on the Do Not Call List since 2011.

What do you do next?

IMO - I think they robo call me now because I told them not to. I think they do it on purpose just to irritate now.

Just got called (my cell phone, which is on the no-call list) this morning. I've read elsewhere that these people offer to lower your credit card interest, but when you ask to speak to a live person, they ask you all sorts of personal questions...questions they should already have answers for, if they could really lower our rates.  Looks like a scam sort of situation where they get enough info from you to steal your identity. They don't have a website and if you ask them too many questions and point out that any reputable business would have a website among other things, they get angry and abruptly end the call.  In looking up the area code I found this:

If you get a phone call from this number DO NOT ANSWER IT-it is an international call and you can get stuck paying at least $50 just for answering. Call your service provider and have them block the number.

I am so upset with these people calling every day, 7 days a week. Morning , noon and night...phone ringing after 9 pm and they will not stop it after I asked them to take me off the call list. They have more numbers they use and changes every week. I can't understand why they can't be stopped. What use is the no call list we all have joined if it doesn't put a stop to them??

For the 4th time now.....when they called this morning, yes, it was about an opportunity to reduce my credit card interest rates....I've asked them twice to not call/take me off their list. I checked and yes, I'm on the Do Not Call List (since 2011).

So this morning when they called, I waited and when the guy asked me if I was calling to lower my interest rates, I said, "No, I just want the name of your company." He smirked and said, "What....Longwood Dirtyfoot?" and then he hung up on me.

And let me point out the '468' area code does not exist.  *60 doesn't work since the Area Code is fake.

I have already turned them in to the FTC and received letter stating they are going to investigate them..I have saved every number on my caller ID that they have called me from...I am sick of it..They are scammers wanting info on our cards and bank...
