They left a message from "RGS", telling me to call them back at 866-253-8555.  469 numbers are local to the Dallas area, so these calls are probably an attempt to get Dallas deadbeats (like me) to pick up and pay up.  I would if I could but I can't so I won't.

RGS financial debt collector.  Used threats towards my 8 year old son for debt collection on wrong number.  They said he must be lying to protect someone.

This number called me, too. Some schmuck said he was from RGS. I do not know who RGS is. He asked for a "Michelle Crossman." I used a phony British accent and the name Derek Taylor - I use this whenever I get a call from any number I do not recognize. When he asked for "Michelle," I told him that this was my number now, and that it was not a cell phone but a land line and that I got the number two weeks ago. The schmuck said, "I will annotate that in my file," and then he hung up.

To get rid of these [***], you have to 1) use a phony accent, 2) deny you are who they are looking for, and 3) tell them that you have never heard of who they are looking for and just got this number two weeks ago when you moved into a new place (home or apartment), Faced with their goal no longer apparently at the number they have, they will stop calling. Just make to use this scenario each time to make it sound consistent.

Another telemarketer and I'm on the 'do not call' list.  I owe nobody
anything and hear these are debt collectors at 469-341-3352. I either don't
bother to answer or take the phone off the hook for a half hour.  Why is the
phone company letting them get away with this????

Call dates: 10/22/09; 10/23/09; 10/27/09; 10/29/09; 10/30/09 so far.  This is very annoying. We guess this company is trying to reach the former owner of this Chicago, IL cell phone number that has been assigned to me now.  It is fortunate for us that there is caller ID so that we do not waste our airtime on some caller from Dallas that we do not know. We will continue to not answer whenever we see 469-341-3352 in the caller ID screen.

my fax machine receives a call from this 469 341 3352 everyday... Could this be the Verizon bill from 7 years ago. We reached an agreement. I'll pay the balance, and as their plug and play computer internet
service anywhere system never worked they can discontinue the balance of the service agreement.
Verizon just kept billing for a system that never worked. so Verzion, RGA and whomever, can smoke the helmet.

This company aggressively called my work and home.  They said they were collecting a debt for a company who I do owe, but they kept going up on the amount I owed.  I contacted the company that I owe who said that they did not authorize this company to collect for them.  They wanted my checking acct or credit card info. Not even! I may not pay my bills like I should, but I won't be a fool for none of em.  I asked the rep to just give me an address so I could mail the payments via money order.  I was put on hold and they never came back. Ha! Watch out for these people.  If you do owe whatever company they state, call that company instead and make arrangements.  Good Luck to ya!

Same company different number different day. I forget how does the "DO NOT CALL LIST" work, because why did I spend time over and over again to protect myself as a consumer, for you to tell me as long as it is a recording or no one talks they can do it. I think you need to get a life and start looking at this harrassment. So why are we paying you???? I'm confused here alot.

This company is RGS Finanacial, a collection agency out of Richardson Tx.. These folks had my phone number, and were looking to contact someone else, who apparently had the phone number prior to my obtaining it. I sent an e-mail to their vice president, one Chris Pruitt ( cpruitt@rgsfinancial.com ) . I in no uncertain terms informd him they had an incorrect number in their sysytem, and I neither wanted their calls, or would I tolerate them. Eight minutes later, I received a reply stating the number was removed! In the event they are lying, and I receive more calls, I will contact the FCC, as my number is on the DO Not Call List (which I also informed them of).

I received a call yesterday on my cell phone from this number. I picked up the phone to look at the caller ID, I must have touched something that answered the phone, which I didn't intend to do. I did not say anything, the person calling made rude remarks. "I can hear everything in the back ground, I know your there." "Why did you pick up the phone if your not going to say anything?" "Must be a real genius on the other end." After that they hung up.

I just got a new cell phone along with a new (to me) phone number.  The second call I got was from 1-469-341-3352.  Since I NEVER automatically answer ANY calls from numbers not in my contact list, it wasn't a real problem.  However, it IS an intrusion, so:

I have a process that I follow to keep persistent companies from calling.  It's fun and it works.  When the company calls, and I want to mess with them, I answer the phone and no matter what they are saying, I say, in a somewhat sultry voice:

"Oh, baby - just keep talking.  Ooo, Ooo that's so good."

"I bet you can't guess where I have my hand right now."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm sooo glad you called - that  feels so good - just keep talking."

Collection Agency.  They call home & work.  I [foolishly] answered the 1st  time and admitted to them that I was the person in question (Ignorant, I know... but I have relatives in Dallas and thought that maybe it was one of them!).  After fishing, I found out that Nordstrom sold to them a debt I owed from over 5 years ago!  Got into a "verbal altercation" with the rep. I dont have thick skin, so I eventually hung up.  That was 3 months ago.  Theyve been calling 1-2x per week since then.  Ive programmed my work and home phones to automatically Do Not Ring.  Like Bob said above, "I would if I could, but I cant so I wont."

I called the number back to find out that the company was trying to collect a Nordstroms debt from 2000.  The last few years this debt has been abstent from my credit report.  I politely told the lady that the debt is past its statute of limitations, which is 7 years for a debt.

Your state should have a State Attorney's office that houses a consumer office. I suggest you call or write to then and file a formal complaint. They should interviene and get theses A**holes.  I just got a call from some nastey African American female with a horrible attitude so I told her I don't live here any more!!!

There is this funny thing called the Fair Debt Collection Act that ALL companies are OBLIGATED to follow.  What you need to do is to send them a certified letter with a cease and desist order.  Once you send them a certified letter stating that you do not wish to speak with them anymore, they CANNOT contact you by telephone any further.  Also, if you have an attorney, they are OBLIGATED BY LAW to correspond and speak with the attorney- NOT you!
