Report a phone call from 469-484-5750 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- NYLynnie| 2 repliesI received a voicemail from Investigator James Harp with the Windsor Group calling regarding Eduardo Garcia (no idea who that is). I called back to find out who the company was/who was Investogator James Harp. The phone is answered automatically and you are asked to enter the extension number given or use their company directory. I was put into voicemail and asked to leave a message with my name, phone number, case number or the name of the person I was called about - I hung up. Sounds fishy...
- SCSame here except it was Todd Jones who identified himself as wn investigator. He said the name of my street and said he was investigating possilbe fraud in the number range of mine. Did not and will not return call.
- bbSame here a Todd Jones identified himself as a investigator. Stated the same thing a fraud case but would not elaborate until I confirmed my personnel information. Didn't give him nothing! Sounds fishy! Googled Windsor Investigations they have an office in Canada and Pennsylvania yet this area code (469) is in Texas. No website for Texas.

- Mike77| 2 repliesI just received a call from these people and returned their call. It was an investigator investigating fraud charges by someone I knew a while back (who apparently put me down as a reference). I gave them all the information I had. It's important to call these people back or they will keep trying to get ahold of you. I thought it was a scam after coming on here and seeing the posts, and I was prepared to call them and threaten police action, but they are legit. FYI

- SecretSquirrelThese people call constantly and talk in a belittling, condescending nature. They're a private investigation company dealing in finding people who owe others money, or finding vehicles who auto loan companies after non payment for many months. They are crooked, manipulative and shady; and they are always bending the laws of harassment.
- Caller: Windsor Group
- RandyDo not return their call...very sketchy!!
- SecretSquirrel| 4 repliesAlso, if you do receive calls from these people constantly after asking them to stop calling; have them refer to something called the Fair Debt Act....this prohibits them from calling multiple times after being asked not to. Also, they are not allowed to use threats, nor are they entitled to know personal information. They are a collection agency that investigates the debts you owe and seeks payment on behalf of the creditors. They're like hired goons. At no point should you feel the need to give them any information whatsoever. If you look their company up, Windsor Equity Group, you'll find they've been sued dozens of times for breaching the Fair Debt Act. I suggest if you feel victimized by them you do the same. People should never be harassed, belittled and threatened in such ways; they're NOT above the law.Wind

- Amandasomeone named Megan called asking for my sister but had my ssn and her middle name
- George42I got threw dealing with the Windsor Group. They have 3 different departments. Skip trace, private investigations, and legal. They gave me there PI NO# A14647 which I looked up and it is Windsor Investigations in Dallas. I also checked the Texas Supreme Court web site. And they do have certified process servers. And the bar no# they gave me is for an attorney.

- AnonymI have repeatedly asked this company, specifically Ms. Washington at ext. 1143, not to call again. She has been verbally abusive and threatening. She most recently called my mother who is elderly and suffers from Alzheimer’s and harassed her. Again, I requested that she not harass us but my requests have gone unacknowledged. After the phone call on 9/8/08, my mother was so upset and began to have chest pains and shortness of breath. We had to take her to the emergency room to get her calmed back down. Not only has this company been calling my mother, they have resulted in calling everyone with the same last name and in the same area, leaving messages for my husband or daughter to call them back.

- Gary McAnellyThis company has called me at least 4 times asking for someone who doesn't live at this residence. They are pushy after you inform them no one live here by that name.

- BotheredI have started receiving calls for Jackie Jones at the Widsor Group. I have never spoken to her, just had several messages. It is so annoying!!!
- Mommy of threeJackie Jones at the Windsor Group called and gave me the name of someone who supposedly used my name as a reference. The guy had my last name, but was no one I knew. Probably fishing for anyone in the area with the same last name I guess. I spoke to her and she said she'll remove my name. In other words, I didn't have a lead for her!
- ADizzle64I got a call from and Investigator Greg Brantley looking for someone who I had never heard of.....when I told him that this was a new number he said I was lying and called for a couple of days then stopped.
- Diane HernandezSomebody is calling and her name is Anna. This Anna leaves a weird message about investigating a case. Well, I called 877-294-6376 ext#1157 which my caller ID is reading 484-575-6376 left a message so she can call me back. I dont have bad loans neither my husband so I dont understand why she is calling me. If she is calling about somebody else I will never give information over the phone to nobody. I will request to stop calling or I will report this company to the BBB and other agencies.

- AmyReceived the same call from an Anna x1157 investigating a case.
Called back and went to voicemail.
Sounds telemarkety to me! - perhaps laws dont applyIt isn't a collection agency so most of the FDCPA does not apply
to the company it is in a category all its own. - mrsdobson| 4 repliesActually, FDCPA laws DO apply. They've been successfully sued multiple times. Seek a lawyer if you have been harassed. Document everything and the times they have called. They break the law routinely and view this as a cost of business...the FDCPA fines don't thwart them...but legal fees will.
Best bit is, you can actually sue the individual debt collector too. This happens frequently, then they turn against their employer.
Also, once they start calling other people it can be a privacy violation. Again, seek advice of proper legal counsel. Don't go what these clowns on here say, stating FDCPA laws don't apply - speak to an actual lawyer who specializes in this.
Whether you owe or not, it does not entitle anyone to harass you.
*also* threatening to sue someone is legally harassment if they have no intention to sue...and they don't. Read the case files on many of the cases that have been against Windsor Group - they threaten and mislead and each and every time they lose in court. Any debt collector can not threaten to sue you or even imply it will happen. That's an FDCPA violation. - Mike is an employee| 1 replyMike is obviously an employee. It is not important you call these guys back. In fact, you shouldn't call these guys back at all. You should not speak with them whatsoever.
If they return the call again, contact a consumer protection attorney IMMEDIATELY. They can't legally do what they do, no matter how often they come on here and assure people (through obviously phony posts) that they can.
Seek a lawyer, don't take their word that their actions are legal. In fact, they are counting on you being too afraid or naive to get a lawyer.
