Someone claiming to be from Serco North called and left a message wanting more information from me.  I went online to healthcare.gov and engaged in a chat with a real representative.  The rep said they would NEVER call - only email or regular mail.  So, this appears to be a scam.

Serco North America does provide services to the Federal Government, but there is no way of knowing if this number is really connected with them, or not.  If you actually dial the number, you just get a busy signal.  I think this is a scam.

Left voicemail stating "My name is Kate, and I am calling from the Heath Insurance Marketplace and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding your recent application for Health Insurance.  We are calling today because we were needing some additional information to complete your application.  If after 3 attempts of trying to contact you, we will send you a letter explaining what it is we are needing from you to resubmit."

I am an insurance agent.  I have had 2 policy holders call today stating that they have received a call from this number.   The first policy holder was told that since she did not complete the call, her application for health insurance was canceled.  She must reapply.  Can anyone help or advise.  Thank you.

This caller called and mentioned that he needed information to complete health care application information and asked for Social Security number Information.  He gave his agent number: A43772.  On caller ID the company name shown was: Serco North Am and the number was: 479-877-3203.  It does not appear that he is actually connected with health care, a fraud or scam.

IMO, this call is genuine regarding obtaining info. that was not filled in on the Affordable Care Act (Health care Marketplace) that I submitted in writing (due to horrendous internet glitches at the healthcare.gov site)  about 10 days prior.  I did intentionally leave a section blank due to clarification issues, and I knew beforehand that they would call me to complete the info.  The agent asked only for the last 4 of my Soc. Sec. #, and then went straight to the section I left blank.  This agent was taking information only, and could not answer Q's re how the app would be processed, only that it would take 2 to 3 weeks and then a letter would be sent to me re outcome.

I received a call from this number last week asking me to call healthcare.gov to complete my phone application.Strange that the caller did not leave a phone number for me to call. Spent over 3 hours on the telephone, mostly on hold, with healthcare.gov rep who told me that during my phone application on 10/10 I had not filled in a box regarding sources of supplemental income. I said we had none. Was eventually told my application went out that same day and I should hear back in a week or two. Today, 3 days after my app went out, I received another call telling me I need to call healthcare.gov to complete my app. I will not be calling them again.

Just received the "second call" from them.  Found and contacted their corporate offices number.  This is a legitimate call center of theirs and they process the applications sent in via brokers and other mail-in groups for the Affordable Care Act.

NO! NO! NO! Do NOT give them any information.

I received a message from them today on my answering machine saying they needed more information.

I called healthcare.gov at their 800 number. They informed me
    1) That call was NOT from them asking for any information
    2) In fact, they told me my application was COMPLETE! And gave me my completed app #

DO NOT CALL THOSE PEOPLE BACK. Report them to the government #

Caller Id showed Serco North Ame 479-877-3202
man stated his name was Clinton like the president, his insurance number was A43772 same as I see in this posting. I asked for a number I could call him back at 1-800-318-2592, but he said it wouldn't be him I could talk to. he wanted more information for the health app. so he knew I was the right person that filled in the form. I gave him my name and address, but stopped when he wanted my birthdate, so I didn't let him get to the SS #. So I said mail anything to me. But he didn't know how soon I could receive it.

I got 3 calls ,2 I did not answer. My Caller ID also said Serco North AME but number was 636 698 6320. Also got same call from same man another day but call ID said Health Ins. MP.  Person said after 3 tries would contact me by mail. I answered  call today from same man and number but I refused to give info by phone and he told me very nicely that I could do it by mail instead and would be getting something by mail soon.I chatted online with agent from the real Marketplace website and was told the number was not legit, that if contacted by the Marketplace it would only be by an 800 number.

Health Insurance Contractor to Add 477 Jobs in Lawton, Oklahoma

A federal contractor said it will hire nearly 500 people in Lawton, Okla., to help support the new health insurance exchanges created under the federal health care law.

Serco North America announced that it will lease a 55,000-square-foot building in Lawton and hire 477 employees in mid-November, the Lawton Constitution reported.

Last year, Serco received a federal contract to support the new insurance exchanges.

Mayor Fred Fitch said the announcement is welcome news, especially after civilian furloughs at Fort Sill caused by the federal government shutdown and cutbacks at other employers in the area.

“Five hundred jobs in Lawton – man, that’s a good deal,” Fitch said. “It’s going to fill a void that’s been created.”

Oklahoma leaders decided not to create a state-run insurance exchange, so Oklahoma’s exchange will instead be run by the federal government.

Serco said the company will hire administrative and clerical workers, data entry operators, call takers and quality assurance clerks. Officials say the pay will range from $10.88 per hour to $20 per hour, plus benefits. Several supervisors and managers will also be hired with salaries up to $95,000 a year.

The facility should be up and running by Dec. 10.

“We at Serco are grateful for the warm welcome from the Lawton-Fort Sill community and aim to become a true civic partner,” Alan Hill, senior vice president of Serco, said in a statement. “We selected Lawton for its readiness to support this program and strong workforce, and look forward to joining the community.”

Serco leased the former Assurant facility, which closed last year and put 175 people out of work. At one point, the Assurant call center had 400 workers.

“It’s just a wonderful day for southwest Oklahoma and we appreciate everybody involved in this,” said Brad Burgess, chairman of the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce.

This number called me on my cell Tuesday November 19th, 2013.  Lady left a message saying they needed more information concerning my application for ACA and that she would call back later which she has yet to do.  I had completed a paper app and mailed certified Tuesday November 12, 2013.  I was excited about this because I havent had health insurance in years.  Kept calling them hoping to speak with some one but the line is always busy during business hours, at night a recording says "all lines are presently Tied Up".   I mailed my app to Kentucky as instructed by ACA assistant in my hometown in Missouri, then I receive this call from Rogers Arkansas.  I thought it suspect as I completed the app thoroughly. Only thing on my caller ID was number 479-877-3203 Rogers Arkansas.

I have had three calls from a Morgan at this number. Claims to be calling from the Health Insurance Marketplace. She does not leave a call back number and when I have tried to call back the Arizona number she is calling from it is busy. I received a call on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from this "Morgan". I called the 1-800# on the form I mailed in the previous Thursday/Friday to a KY address and they told me to not give them any information. It is most likely a scam. They said that if I just mailed my form last week, they don't even have it in their system yet. And they didn't show me in their system. They also said they would not have time to call due to how busy they are and that I would most likely receive a letter.

Today when "Morgan" left her message she said she would be mailing me something regarding completing my application. So I guess I will have to be careful about what I get in the mail now too.

This is exactly the scenario I am going through and I live in Illinois. I sent the information to my personal insurance agent for her review. As of now I am treating it as a scam.
