call your phone provider and get their number for reporting nusience phone calls, then get phone caller ID with a block feature and also call the state and national office of the attorney general other wise you will never get rid of this criminal or gangster behavior

I get a call from 480-999-1234 at least a dozen times a day and with it being my business office I have to keep customers on hold when I transfer over to answer...is there no way to stop them? I do not have caller ID on line #1 but when I *69 that number comes up. If I try calling back it say not in service

My family and I receive calls from this number from early morning to late at night. I tried to place a complaint with a national do not call rep. I explained the situation clearly. She even looked at all the internet blogs about this number, and said she could not do anything about it. Because I can't get a company name from them and don't know what they are selling, I am subjected to these repeated phone calls?! I explained to her my family and I  speak english. She suggested that someone speak spanish and find out who they are and what they are selling the next time they call. Okay! It doesn't sound right that a phone company can issue a landline and there be no record of it. Also, I can't believe the do not call registry can't figure this out and fix it for many Americans dealing with this. I live in NJ and would like to know how others are handling this matter.

Possible solution to this caller...It may take a little effort on you part, but...look up you Congressman's address, and have it on hand, when they ask for your address to send you the calling card, give them the Congressman's ! See if they like it.


Number is a phantom Number, If they have a business system (multi# Phone), they can program any #/Name into it to show on our Caller ID. (I have received calls from "Heaven" at 111-000-1111).
I worked for Verizon for years and unfortunately, the only free recourse the general public has is a forum such as this. Unless someone gets their company name and address. In which case we start calling them!

English IS the native language of "America"...Because before Europeans settled here it was NOT America (Amerigo Vespucci, look it up). Once settled, once this land became known as America, English WAS the language chosen. So with that said, all you haters need to go back to school, pick up a book, learn some history. This is a solicitation call ctr. They are attempting to sell/do many different things from the same # and location. Including calling cards, phone equipment, etc. The purpose is to get your address and mark it as "sales Friendly #" if you OK the sale of anything, they will continue to call you to solicit their goods and services, they will NOT remove you from their call list until they are shut down.

If someone, anyone will or has agreed to their pitch, please post this companies information so the authorities can stop them. That is until they move and start up again that is.

FYI the Federal "do not call" List does NOT prevent a company that doesn't care about laws and fines from calling you, it also does NOT prevent someone from dialing your # (People/companies that use automatic dialers can have that dialer call every # between 123-456-0000 to 123-456-9999, hence the name "automatic dialer") It is a "list" of numbers that has been compiled of people who wish to not be solicited. An unscrupulous business CAN use it as a contact list! Especially if they don't care about the fines or are calling from, say...Mexico. Finally, just because the caller ID reads "Arizona" or shows the area code "480", does NOT mean that is where the call is originating from, that info can be programmed to appear however they desire it to.

I received a call from this number.  I normally ignore this calls but felt compelled to pick up.  I simply said Hello and the lady said mumbled something.  I speak Spanish myself and think she said "something" in Spanish.  She then hung up.  Looks like I can expect more calls from this number based on the posts here.

I received 3 calls from this # yesterday. (In Spanish, but I'm mexican so I speak Spanish)

The wanted to give me a free calling card for paying my phone bill on time, and wanted to get my birth date to confirm I was over 18 and eligible for the prize. I told them I was busy and asked for a number to call back. They didn't provide one. They said they would call back and they did, but I didn't answer the phone the second time. They called back again at 11:30pm. Once again the calling card story, they say they were calling from the "telephone company", when I asked which telephone company they said the "local telephone company". I got really upset and yelled at them to stop calling and they hanged up. We'll see if they stop.

I also get a call from this number at least 3 or 4 times a week and they never speak English. I have told them to remove my number but I guess they don't understand even though it's a Arizona area code.

When call is received, there is noise in the background and no one speaks.  Have received a call from this number every day this week, just at different times of the day.  I am very unhappy about this esp. when I have been signed up for the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!!

Ok, so the primary reason for the calls seems to be a last name of Spanish descent. We get the standard Bueno Dias. No one seems to understand English. We ask repeatedly to be removed from the list, to no avail. Because I don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English, last week I tried French. Unfortunately, they do not understand the language of love either. We keep reporting them to the donotcall registry, but without a company name or valid phone number I'm not sure if any action will be taken.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past week and it is really obnoxious.  My suggestion is to get a whistle and blow it as hard as you can into the phone every time these folks call.

I have been receiving calls from 4809991234 for a couple of days now.  The first time it really made me angry because it was around 11:30 pm and i was taking a bath.  I figured if someone was calling that late it would be important.  Boy was I wrong.  All the said was....(totally wierd) "boobidy boo...boobidy boo."  I then asked who they were and the said "Bobby".  I then just hung the phone up figuring it was some kids messing around.  Well they called again and my husband answered.  They said something else along the lines of the previous.  And today....they spoke english by just saying hello.  There is no record of this number on 411 and the operator believes it is (obviously) a number that cannot receive calls but can make them..(duh).  I am going to get a hold of my phone company tomorrow to see what they can do. Sounds to me like some prank phone calls.  The area cod 480 is an Arizone area code I believe.

Got a call from 480-999-1234. At first didn't say anything - just breathed loudly and then said a few words in Spanish/Mexican a couple of times and then hung up.  Can anyone identify the origin of this call?
