If they are calling your CELL, and you are NOT the person they are looking for, or it's for YOU but the debt is EXPIRED (ck your state-CREDIT CARDS 3 to 10 Yrs & WRITTEN CONTRACTS -3 to 15 Yrs )or you never gave your CELL to the original DEBT CO, Check NACA ONLINE for an attorney to SUE!!!! because; "Congress passed the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”), 47 U.S.C. §227, to curtail the use of automated dialers and prerecorded messages to cell phones without the permission of the consumer." ...$500.00 per telephone call and $1,500.00 per telephone call if willful. !!!!
There are free phone search companies ONLINE (I found 4) that can be accessed by anyone...that show clearly in the FREE AREA that my phone number is from a CELL...And if they PAY A SMALL MONTHLY FEE can see who the CELL Number belongs to...I'D CALL IT WILLFUL!!!! I'm giving that info to my Attorney!

Saw this number several years ago now it is popping back up on my caller ID again.  I don't answer as I understand from what I've read that these are people who try to collect from very old debts.  That is scary.

Portfolio Recovery is just one of several companies who keep calling all day long even on Saturdays and Sundays about a debt from a friend who is now DEAD.  This has been explained to them but they still keep calling over and over and over again.  I am Disabled and have a phone for Emergencies which these Ignorant, Uncaring Vultures keep tied up.

just answer the phone each time with some explicatives? and then some obviously crazy person taunts, then if after a couple times of that they don't stop, tell them to put this phone into their system bc of what's about to come across the line and blow an airhorn into the phone.

i've personally done the airhorn several yrs ago on a landline to ppl who wouldn't quit calling trying to sell me light bulbs? and they would be calling from before 8 am til after 9pm 7 days a week, 2-3 times a day sometimes....
needless to say, the first airblast was the last. they never called again.

I get calls from this number and another one sporadically. They never leave a message.and I do not answer if I see this number in caller ID

Way  back in the 1990's was the last time I had credit trouble.  My credit rating is now in the mid 700's.  I get my report from the three major agencies each year and all are clean.  I get multiple offers for credit cards each month.  So there is NO WAY anyone has a valid claim on me.  

I can only assume this company has bought some old file on me and are hoping they can bully me into something.

Do Not Talk To These People as this may reactivate some old 'dead' debt is what I have been told.

calling saying  i owe    5000 but would talk 1000   from  something  from 2003    on a van  that was sold  for what owed  on it  i ask for paper work  or something to show me  they could not    give me  any infomation  they have call  me  to many times  and am sick of it

This is a Junk Debt Buyer. Just send them a Cease & Desist letter and that the debt is past the SOL. Do not talk to them about arranging payments or a settlement if its past the SOL, some states allow the clock to restart and you will be on the hook for the full amount. They cannot sue for a debt that is past the SOL.

I get calls 2-3 times a day from 484 489-2841, so got tired and tried calling them back and an AT&T operator came on saying this number is no longer in service; yet an hour later I get anothere call from them.  If this a debt call it sure isn't mine as I have an 8.0 credit rating and no uncollected debts since 1972.  And why is this number when called "out of service?"  Funny business going on here.  Just ignore the all.

They keep calling me and I have told them to send me mail NOT to call the phone but they do not listen. So, the last time they called, I did my best "foreign" voice and spoke all panicky. I told them the Orang Pendek was coming. This is a "mythical" creature similar to a small Sasquatch. I was screaming like Chicken Little when she thought the sky was falling. lol  My fiancee and I thought it was hilarius. I guess it didn't curtail these idiots because they called just a few minutes ago.
This is an old debt from years ago. I am now disabled and have a limited income. I explained this to them but they don't care. I should tape 3 pennies to a piece of paper and send it to them every month.
