These people call several times a day and have been for many months!. Don't leave a message. Needs to STOPAAA

Do not give any information to someone calling you!  I used to work for a bank and have experience with this type of thing.  It is called phishing.  They are fishing for information to try to steal your identity.  This phone number has been reported on another site with this type of activity.  They are apparently asking for ssn's.

They call and do not leave a message. Other sites have reported this is an identify theft scam.

I think it's a collection agency based solely on tone, attitude, and speed of speech. Have had a missed call from them every day this week. Today, I returned the call. This is how the conversation went. Names have been changed to protect the innocent. :)

Her: Hello This is Lucy from the "something" Mountain Agency.
Me: I'm sorry, what is the name of your company?
Her: This is Lucy from the "something" Mountain Agency. (she talked really fast with attitude)
Me: What kind of business is this?
Her: (silence)
Me: Look, I have a [***] ton of missed calls from this number. Who are you?
Her: May I speak to John Smith?
Me: This is not John Smith's number. You have reached Jane Doe.
Her: We have this number on file for John Smith.
Me: Again, this is not John Smith's number, you have reached Jane Doe.
Her: Sorry, Bad number.

Then she hung up on me. FYI. John Smith is my brother and if she would have been even a tiny bit informative and/or polite, I would have given his actual phone number to her. Bees, sugar, vinegar, and all that.

How can these people just say that by staying on the line you're saying your this person after giving you the option of pressing 1 that you are this person when it's in your voice mail????

Called today, 3/21/14, at1249 EDT.
Didn't answer, because I didn't recognize it, says it's from PA.  Didn't leave a message.
