I have just noticed  that I have supposedly sent a text from my phone to this number - I haven't and I have been charged for it!!!!

à ce numero (en Allemagne) alors que je ne l'ai jamais envoyé!

There's a sort of virus that exists on 3G-phones, which generates SMSs and sends these to this international number. I know sometimes it can also be a French number.
If I'm not mistaking, the virus is called HatiHati, or something similar.

I have recived sms direct from above phone number. Steve is right. "My Nokia Team" will send you usefull information about your Nokia model.

I, too, noticed a charge for a single SMS to the mystery number. It is indeed a text to Nokia which occurs only once when activating the handset. Thereafter, Nokia sends the occasional, helpful, SMS.

So, nothing to worry about.

I was wondering what the number was too. But it makes sense it's from Nokia because the sms got send on the day I got my new Nokia phone.
Mystery solved?

I've been charged, too, for this Sms. The number is in Germany, so I've been charged 0.3 EUR !
I hope Nokia won't send ad, but real helpful.

I upgraded my Nokia N95 to new firmware and this was around the same time I started getting text from "My Nokia". I've been charged as well. If you go into Applications > My Nokia, You can unsubscribe alerts.

le N° MyNokia +491771787772 (Allemagne) est le Numéro d'enregistrement MyNokia  lorsque tu allume ton Nokia pour la 1er fois , le texto est envoyé si tu accepte d'être enregistrée "en ligne" ; donc soit tu refuse l'envoi soit tu lance le nokia sans carte SIM....
