Has called several times. I do not recognize number. Always calls at night.

They called me and wanted to speak to someone I never heard of--they wanted a donation for the Fire Department or something like that.

Professional firefighters wanting a donation....

This number keeps calling and calling me at all hours of the day.  They want donations and I am on the NO CALL LIST.  How do I get rid of them?????????????????????????

This number called at 3:20 pm. I answered on the 2nd ring thinking it was my friend. No one said anything when I answered and said hello twice.

Asked for Donation to Firefighters

Professional fire fighter donation wanted...from a very unprofessional sounding telemarketer.  I added it to my call reject list.

Asked to contribute for pediatric burn unit...said I would receive a return envelope with which to return check...also had a second party get on the line to verify my home address.  Is this a legitimate organization or scammers?

Although they solicit funds for firefighters, a very small amount of money collected goes to charity. They are professional fund raisers.

You're right. They may say they're collecting for the firefighters, but with the "fundraising groups" like this, only about 5% (or less) goes to the organization for whom they are supposedly collecting donations... Don't ever give these people money. If you want to make a donation to the firefighters, make a donation to your local fire department or their fraternal organization directly. Also, "charitable" and political groups are exempt from the "do not call registry". As long as even a miniscule portion of that money goes for charity they can qualify for the exemption... Yeah, it sucks. If you're unfamiliar with an organization, check them out with the BBB or your local chamber of commerce. By law, the charitable organizations have to provide you with a breakdown of how the funds will be used if you ask them for this information.

Same thing here..they call say nothing try to call it back they dont answer or it instantly says, " the Magic Jack # you are trying to reach is unavailable" ok, wht is magic jack?? This is a SCAM!!!!

Calls constantly day and evening. Have it on call block so my phone automatically hangs up on it, but regretfully that feature doesn't stop the phone from ringing before disconnecting.

They call me several days in a row and when I answer, they hang up.  The number comes up, but the caller ID says Unknown Name.  Today, I called the number back and got the same message, "The Magic Jack customer is unavailable. Leave a message at the tone."  So I did. "Stop calling my number and hanging up." >:)

Tell them your referining their number to the Ky State Attorney Generals office and filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They are violating the state and fed do not call list.

The telemarketer said he was calling for professional firefighters.  When I said I wasn't interested, he got nasty and said "You don't want to help fire fighters?"  I then asked if he was a fire fighter and the station where he worked.  He said he wasn't a fire fighter.  I asked who he was with and he said PBE.  I again stated that I wasn't interested and he said that the fire fighters did not have time to raise money themselves.  I told him to put my number on their do not call list and as I was hanging up the phone, the real "mouthing" started.  Very unprofessional.  If this company really is raising money for fire fighters - which I seriously doubt - then our professional fire fighters need to take a serious look at the company they have raising funds for them.

Callers work for a professional fundraising company & are NOT firefighters. Even upon request,
callers refuse to identify their name or the name of the professional fundraising/telemarketing company they work for (which clearly indicates intent to mislead).
Continually calls (at al times) & asks for Mrs ...., even when a male asks the purpose of the call.
Ignores repeated requests (over years, not months) to remove names from their list.
Redialing only provides voice mail.  Messages left there requesting to contact management are ignored.
PROFESSIONAL fundraisers have no issue identifying who they are & who pays them.
