I have been getting a ton of calls from this number at all times of the day.  They never leave a message or if they do I hear just dead air.  When trying to search on switchboard.com for the number, the only thing that comes up is somewhere in Louisville, KY.

I have been getting a ton of calls from this number at all times of the day.  They never leave a message or if they do I hear just dead air.  When trying to search on switchboard.com for the number, the only thing that comes up is somewhere in Louisville, KY.

I'm getting calls from this number too.  All times of the day.  Any ideas on who this [***] is?

Same thing here.  I won't answer if I don't know who it is.  I tried to call back within a few seconds and got a message saying I've reached a number that is out of service.

it's a bill collector

This was a wierd phone call.  I didn't answer, but I got this call at work, and all the message had on it was someone breathing very heavily, and it was almost obscene.

Everyday I get phone calls from this number. They call twice in a row hoping that I pick up.  They left a message asking about information about a family member saying that their a law firm and leaving a case number stating that its an urgent matter.  These Bozo's are a collection agency passing them selfs off as a law firm. As soon as I'm done here the better business bureau will be getting an e-mail.

I get these annoying calls at least 2 or 3 times a day at random times of the day. It's very, very annoying and it's beginning to freak me out.

Dead air.  Even more annoying than the 'please hold for an important message...' calls, and a bit disturbing if you've ever been threatened or stalked.

A bit of digging on the web indicates that it is Citibank, so probably a bill collector.  A common practice is to have a machine call to see if the number is 'live'.  Then on future calls a human being is connected.

I get calls from this number at least 4 times a day and have been for about 3 weeks now. My cell phone carrier states there is nothing they can do. I'm probably going to have to have my number changed. Thsi is very inconvient due to the fact that I've had this number for 6 years now. I will have to contact all family, professional services and hundreds of clients. I am in sales. What a nightmare. Any ideas on how to stop these distracting calls?

Yeap just got a call too...called from 502-357-7999 @ 2:17 pm on 2/1/2008...Woman on the phone sd that her name was Kenya...Kept asking for someone...I kept asking who that person was what is she doing calling my business line...She stated that was looking for someone he or a she but didn't pronounce the name clearly...obvious I told her wrong # but I asked where is she calling from and she stated Citi...I told her that wrong #...She went ahead and said will remove #...I asked her was this a collection call...she just kept stating that it was personal business....td her if is collections want # removed...

This is Citicard.  If you have a Sears, Home Depot or several other store credit cards they are the bank that holds the account.

i do not recognize the number as a legit number.  they have been calling my cell phone for the last 3 weeks, sometime 3 to 6 times a day.  i let the phone go to voice mail.   when i check message there is background noise but not voice that are clear.   this is getting very annoying.

Tons of calls-no one there when I answer nor do they leave a msg if I dont answer.

Have been getting the same kind of calls in Pennsylvania between 7:00pm and 8:00 pm with hangups on the answering machine.

God, they start calling at 7am and don't stop until 11pm at night. I mean these people call us at least 4 times per hour including every day of the week..even on Sundays!!!!. They must have our # on auto call for every 20 minutes. They don't even say anything when you answer the phone. It is getting so annoying that I am about to change my telephone # at my cost of course. If I have to go that route I am taking this to a lawyer and letting them handle it. This is harassment. We don't have a Citibank account anywhere. We have never ever dealt with Citibank at all. We have had the same bank acct since I was 17 with another bank, and I am now 38 years old. Also, we received a piece of mail from the same name telling us that we are approved to borrow 5000.00 on a signature. They must be desperate for business I guess..if you are from there and you are reading this, good lord, stop calling people like this..you're going to get sued and we will win!!!!!!!

Calling me asking me disclose personal business such as husband, children etc. There has to be a way to catch up with these scam artist. Perhaps tracking them since it is coming from Louisville, KY thats a start.
